Yet Another Star Wars ( or Scif i) RP

OOC is up now! Star Wars: The End of the Force OOC

The basic idea here is that the galaxy has been divided between the Galactic Alliance and the Fel Empire. Hundreds of years have passed since the Yuuzhan Vong war, the Skywalkers have died out, as have the Solos. In fact no force family's exist any longer. That isn't to say that the force isn't still going strong, as it is impossible to destroy. While the Fel Empire controls the "Northern" part of the galaxy (look up a map) dipping down towards Bespin, the Galactic Alliance still controls Corruscant. Both sides have Light Side force users fighting for them, while the Fel Empire harbors Dark Side force users as well. Behind the scenes, a small rebel faction known as The Greys, comprised of both Light and Dark side force users, works to disrupt both sides and develop a galaxy based on what we would call True Communism. Their idea is that neither side of the force is inherently good or evil, and strive to seek a perfect balance among the force, and among all sentient races.

I will be playing the roll of the Emperor of the Fel Empire, as well as the the members of the Galactic Council, and the Leaders of the Greys. What this really means is that occasionally I will make posts as these entities to help move the story along and give players something to do. Apart from this, it is up to you to decide which of these three factions to support, and I will create a character based on whichever side garners the most player characters.

That is it so far. I'm open to any ideas you may have as far as plot goes, and if anyone has any ideas for missions or other events, feel free to let me know and I'll find a way to work them in, even if that means you take the reigns for the event.

Mind you, I'm clearly not revealing all of my cards here, so that I provide a more dynamic role play.

Basically, think of this as more of a SciFi rp, with strong Star Wars influences.

im in, i like to think im a walking, talking wookieepedia. research for dates that late in the SW universe is not easy, but im sure we can make some stuff up.

How many 'hundreds of years' after the war is this going to be set? you should set a date. the latest recorded year on the wookieepedia is 138 ABY, which is 109 years after the end of the Yuuzhan Vong war.

I was thinking about 3-4 hundred years after the end of the Legacy Era. I'm only using terms like Fel Empire and Galactic Alliance as place holders, since those were the main entities at the end of the Legacy Era.

Nice. We literally have enough members to run either a sith cell or a grey cell. Each use units of three. Sith make up is Master and two apprentices. A Grey cell is any make up of master, monk, initiate. Jedi usually run in pairs or quads, their masters rarely go on missions, so its any make up knights and padawans. We could also play a military unit, if you guys would like to go down a certain route I've come up with.

I once ran a DnD campaign that centered around the persecution of the force as a whole, not from a religious stand point though, but a military one. It was reminiscent of Order 66, but it wasn't being handed down from a Sith Overlord, but from a non-force sensitive emperor. He ran campaigns to recruit athiest force users only to send them on suicide missions, and harvested force sensitives that didn't know they were, in order to train them to become the ultimate anti-force soldiers. There was no formal order against them, just quiet assassinations and political propaganda galaxy wide. The common people loved it, because they had grown tired of the constant warring of Force users, so each sect had to handle the situation in their own way. The sith went into darkness, as they always do, and struck from the shadows when they could. The Jedi, went to ground as well, hiding on disguised moon of a forgotten sector. The greys are the only ones still in the fight. They strike by rallying people to rebellion, and then helping worlds gain independence from the galactic alliance. Often they try to rally the other two groups to join them, as they are rapidly losing ground. Thats pretty much the gist of the setting.
