I have always said magic destroys RPs, cause everyone tries to make their character Mr.Billy Bad Ass...
I would be interested in a straight up Hack & Slash style , that's what I usually run over table top RPGs.

I've got an IC for a Star Wars rp too, if either of y'all are interested. It's in casual, but I was thinking like minimalist casual. Just grammar and one or two paragraphs, as long as they do a good job of moving the story along. Just a thought though.

I always send my worse monsters after the Mage first, and then the Healer...even those high level clerics are a damn nuisance

haha, I joined a while ago, but went inactive for a long time after the first few rps I joined never really got off the ground. Those were casual/adv though. It's amazing how much people can write without their character actually doing anything.

I play 3.5. Sometimes I play D20 modern. I modify the combat rules though, using a ability point system to increase weapon proficiency. I take 10% of exp + .1% per point of INT to get the amount of ABP and then you can apply them into several weapon categories. The level you have in each weapon category determines BAB with those styles of weapons. I also have modular weapons, so instead of enchanting and stuff like that, you find new pommels or grips or blades etc. that have different bonuses and draw backs. Each weapon class then has it's own base DMG that can be modified by the parts you find. Obviously I eliminate feats like "weapon proficiency" or "weapon focus" so that people can use their feats more to define their characters.

Oh, and magic users gain ABS at half the normal rate.

Nooooo, I play table top with friends. lol It's very laid back, we usually crack more than a few beers, partake in the true pipe weed, and play until we can't make sense anymore.

Normally I'd ask my buddy Hylonomous to join up on something like this, cause he loves No Mage rp's. But, he works all the time now, and would just hold things back.

I've never played 1 or 2. I looked at 4th, and just shook my head and stuck with 3.5 lol I've also gone as far as to create my own feats and classes when my players decided they wanted to each play a different Anime character. I had a team of Monkey D. Luffy, Goku (who literally would just be sitting for turns charging lol), and Kenshin from Samurai X.
