For three years, Emperor Bartolomeo Mariani has ruled Italy. To many, the man is an icon- a hero, a savior. But on another side of the coin, hatred grows for him in the depths of many a man and womans heart. This is because Mariani favors the rich above all, his laws and actions showering those with had good fortune with gifts, deeming them a superior race to those with little coin. The poor are scum in Mariani's eyes. When beggars gather on the street, they are thrown out in to the wilderness, sometimes slain. Guards are given the right to mistreat and murder the poor without worrying about the law. Houses are raided, people are killed, whole villages and towns are burnt down by nobles and knights.
At first, this was bearable. People could claw back their lives. Mariani was no worse than some of his predecessors. But he grew in to more of a tyrant than at first, he manifested, and became truly evil, playing with the population of his countries life for simple jest, almost making it a sport to kill the poor. His iron fist can no longer be tolerated. We must take action. That is why I have sent this letter to you. You are either one of the poor, who, like many, wish to fight for freedom, but you have true skill and what it takes to battle Mariani, or perhaps, you are wealthy- but I trust that you, like I, wish to return this land to it's former status, a proud, great country.
That is why we must fight together, we must join, as one, and hunt down and kill Mariani. We lay down our lives to overthrow the tyrant emperor, before things get worse, and our country falls too far that we cannot bring it back.

Basically, we are Roleplaying as a group of warriors made of the poor and those who wish to fight beside them that will fight against the vast armies of the emperor, and ultimately, try and kill him. Along the way, we will be saving villages, helping good-hearted smugglers inside the city and sabotaging the empire. The characters speak italian, but it will be wrote in English for the sake of the RP.

Silvio was born in moors a short distance away from Rome in his mother and fathers inn, which sat in the center of a small hamlet town, accepting in travelers departing and entering in to the great capital. They were relatively well-off, his parents taking in a good income from what they did. As he matured, Silvio's patriotism became increasingly important to himself. He felt he lived in one of the greatest countries in the world, and it was this pride that brought him to enlist as a soldier of the Empire in 1316.
He served for many years, training as a skilled swordsman, and training to become a true leader. By the age of 26, he led large groups of soldiers for the Emperor, and was a name known among the Roman military quite well. In 1327, when Bartolomeo took over his station from his father, Silvio followed him, and continued in his possition, however, this only lasted for two years.
In 1329, Silvio approached the emperor directly and told him of his harsh mistreatment of the poor. The Emperor shunned him, revoking his status as a member of the Emperor, throwing him out on to the streets. Silvio returned to the Inn that he spent his childhood in, where he tried to gather people to fight Mariani, though his attempts did not reach any further than assault on guards, and the imprisonment of his followers.
He continued his endevours until 1330, when the hamlet he and his parents resided in was ransacked by a group of drunk soldiers, who slew his mother and father. Silvio cut the soldiers down and threw away their bodies. After repairing the minor damages to the inn and burying his parents, he swore revenge on Mariani and his loose control over his empire, contacting old friends or great warriors to see if they would help him.
:: Personality ::
Silvio is a good leader, brave, strong and tactically minded. He is not afraid to run in to hell's mouth if it means his country is redeemed, although he values his men, and does not want them to perish in vain. He can be stubborn and hot-headed, if the situation fits, and can get in to tricky situations that he cannot simply get out of.

Despite being a nimble man, Silvio stands at a modest yet strong 5'11. He has short blonde hair and pale grey eyes.

Luigi was raised like a lot of the other poor people, on the streets: stealing, fighting, lying all became second nature to him...Until he reached the age of 16, a wondering monk came and visited the street he lived on. Luigi joined him on his travels and became a man of god, unfortunately he also saw the extent of the poverty that the Emperor allowed to go on, it is for this reason that he joined the resistance. Despite being a part of the resistance, Luigi continues to serve the church and help the poor.

Toughened by his past Luigi isn't prone to showing much emotion, he is however passionate about the resistance and is totally committed to it, also from his years on the street he learnt how people think and became a very charismatic person.

Born into nobility, he enjoyed an education fit for any. His noble house, named the Hawkins family lived in England for ages. His family holds close ties with the Royal family, and Roran and Edward III are close friends. However, recently the King of England, Edward III (his friend, yes. Edward III became King in 1327), has declared an alliance with the Empire of Italia, since short led by Bartolomeo Mariani in his struggle against the French, who are envious for the lands of England. After the desastrous reign of his father, Edward Longshanks, he will turn out to be a great ruler. He repaired England, and built the foundations of the military might it would continue to show for the coming few centuries. In an attempt to weaken the first foundations of the French military in his upcoming campaign against them, both politically and militarily (1337-1453 Hundred years war), he allied with the Italian nation to be able to excert pincer-like attacks on the French, if war would break out. To prove his trust he has sent one of his best swordsmen to serve under Bartolomeo to surpress the recent uprisings all over his lands. It's in the best interest of both nations if Italia would be a peaceful land, without internal struggles.

Now he serves Bartolomeo Mariani as a sign of friendship from King Edward III. This is only temporary though, at most a few years.

He is very courtly and polite, but is strictly following the rules of honour. He's friendly and funny, but he can be naive, partly due to his education as a knight. He is not too open to people he doesn't know, but usually stays respectful towards them, unless their actions have deemed them unworthy of his respect. He is very social amongst those he knows though.

He's about 1.91m tall, has blonde hairs and green eyes, and is deemed quite handsome among the ladies in the Royal English court. He's athletically, as expected from a young knight. He has shorter hair than depicted here though.

:: Weaponry ::
He always carries his masterfully crafted bastard sword. It's perfectly balanced, tempered, all you need. It's not ornate, but practical. A sword's beauty is only shown is effectiveness. He also carries a, in comparison with his sword, rather ornate dagger, more as a sign of his noble birth than anything else, but useful for finishing off downed foes, and as a last resort. He also carries an oaken heater shield with soft iron rim, and when on the battlefield has a lance or cross spear or swordstaff, depending wether he fights on foot.

He wears a coat of plates over a chainmail coat, with steel greaves, armguards and gauntlets. He often wears a great helm in the field of battle, but when not fighting he's happy without a helmet. See his appearance for how it looks. When not in armour he wears a simple, modest tabard over a shirt.

:: Battle Techniques ::
He is a true virtuous master with the sword, commonly named as the champion of the court in England. He is a master at reading his opponent, and uses agile yet strong attacks to strike his foes. A good swordsman is always a good dancer. He is known to gracefully dance on the tourney field, striking down those who come too close. He's very good with a spear too, and is fairly good as a tourney jouster.

Being a master warrior, both in a duel and on the field of battle he is a force to be reckoned with. His unwavering loyalty to his friend Edward III. He's a good hunter, both with javelins and the bow and arrows. He's good at chess and quite smart and a good tactical genius when he has time to think. During a fight however, his true genius shines. He's also quite alert.
:: Weaknesses ::
Honourable, naive, somewhat easy to deiceive outside of combat, and although he is intelligent, he often needs some times to use that intelligence. He's also very weak to women. He is a knight, and refuses to harm them. The worst he could possibly do to women is give them handcuffs. He also has barely any expirience with them outside the courtly life. He was too busy with his training for that. This proves to be a disadvantage sometimes.

Honour, his friends, his reputation and his King's and family's honour and reputation. He also likes nice food and a good sparring match. Beauty. He is enchanted by art, and is not bad at it himself, although only at drawing things. He mainly used it as a pass-time.

Dishonourable people, liars, oathbreakers. Thieves and assassins are the lowest form of humanity. He's a knight down to his roots. Needless bloodshed is not to his liking either.

Rodrigo's father, Giovanni, was a blacksmith. The two used to have a very healthy relationship. Rodrigo was willing to follow his father's steps and become a skilled blacksmith. That was Rodrigo's dream, at least until Bartolomeo came to power. Rodrigo's family, just like the rest of the low-class families at the time, suffered a great punishment. They were stripped off their privileges, their fortune..everything they had. Giovanni couldn't cope with that and fell into depression which quickly lead to suicide. Following up with Giovanni's death, the rest of Rodrigo's family met the same fate..or worse. His older brother was put in jail for betrayal while his mother strangled herself, hoping she'll be freed from her torment. Hatress grew in Rodrigo's heart. He agreed that the only way to free Italy from this unbound terror was by killing the one who started it, Emperor Bartolomeo Mariani. Using his flawed skills he inherited from his father, Rodrigo managed to make a set of weapons and initiate an assassination attempt, all alone. He planned to kill The Emperor while he was traveling to his residence in Rome, however Bartolomeo's defense was too high for one man to penetrate it. Rodrigo decided to postpone his operation and strike back when the right time comes.

After days of waiting, Rodrigo was running out of patience. The Emperor's power increased significantly and the window of opportunity he once had was shrinking. Just when he thought all hope was lost, he heard some rumors, rumors about a group of people that were ready to do something against the tyranny. Rodrigo dedicated the rest of his time trying to contact this group of warriors. And then...

:: Personality ::
Despite going through much, Rodrigo managed to maintain a calm demeanor, something that has been cited many times by his siblings. He has a great respect towards skilled warriors, whether are they friends or foes, although he won't hesitate to kill if one intercepts his operation. That said, Rodrigo can also be quite a sucker, leaving him vulnerable to a beautiful woman.

Rodrigo stands 5.8 feet tall. He has a rather pale facial expression build up by two wide eyes colored in dark green. After the death of his father, Rodrigo has underwent inhumane physical training thus' toning his body quite well, but leaving a mark in his left eye as a result. He mostly wears a hooded robe that consists of dark blue silk and the rest being leather armor, but is also seen wearing a cloak.

In order to perform his job better, Rodrigo is forbidden to wear heavy armor. That's why, during an operation, he is mostly seen wearing light leather armor and boots with a hood made of silk. To conceal his blades, he also puts a pair of leather gloves with a hole in between that allow their extension.

Rodrigo is not much of a combatant. He'd rather stab someone behind the back than engage him in a face-to-face duel. That is why he is mostly deployed in information-gathering operations, assassination and everything where stealth makes a play.
:: Skills ::
Thanks to his flexibility, Rodrigo has managed to develop a technique that allows him to get over seemingly hazardous obstacles. This particular technique requires agility, a light weight and most importantly, balance. He is also shown to have acceptable skills as a blacksmith, his hidden blades being a live proof.
:: Weaknesses ::
As stated before, Rodrigo is completely vulnerable to women. He can't cause harm to one even if doing so would bring salvation to his country. He prefers to use his hidden blade only, even though it has a deadly flaw Rodrigo is aware of. The blade's slide often may be stuck, therefore leaving Rodrigo on his own.

Bartolomeo's grandfather, Adriano Mariani I ruled Italy at the time of his birth. His father, Adriano II and his wife resided in the palace. His father knew that one day, he would be emperor, and, twenty years later, when Adriano I died in battle, his junior took over, ending the battles that his father had started, and become a great leader. Aiming for peace, but not standing out as a coward, Adriano II gained the respect of not only his people, but also people from faraway lands. Bartolomeo was his fathers emissary, travelling Europe and beyond, being one of the emperors most trusted messengers.
He ruled for twenty one years, Italy prospering from his rule. He died at the age of seventy three, Batrolomeo taking his place as emperor. At first, Bartolomeo ruled much like his father. Fair and just, respectful to neighboring countries, but maintaining the strength of his forces. But he grew to revel in playing with peoples lives, taking away punishment for the pillaging and burning of villages, letting his soldiers and nobles travel around and murder innocents without punishment.

Bartolomeo does know how to rule a countries military and over-seas affairs, but struggles in keeping the morale of the population itself. One could argue that Bartolomeo is evil, enjoying playing with peoples lives, acting as if it was a sport. He is stuck up, snooty, and unreliable, and can ruin a persons life in seconds.
