    Death Cruise to Paradise (PrettyWingsxJessJones777)

Daphne Davenport stopped at the base of the gangway and looked up at the massive cruise ship that she was about to board. She twisted the fabric of her blue sundress in her hands apprehensively and bit the corner of her lip; this had certainly not been her idea. Her psychiatrist had recommened taking the trip to get away from the stresses of her job at the ER, to focus on saving herself before she was too much of a mess to save anyone else. However, with her anxiety at an all-time high lately, Daphne wondered how being isolated at sea with hundreds of strangers was going to improve her stress level, much less being packed into a tiny cabin where she would undoubtedly have panic attacks.

Good one, Daphne. How did you let yourself get into this?

Her long blond hair waved in the crisp morning air as she turned to take one last look at dry land. With a defeated sigh, Daphne then picked up her luggage and took her first steps toward what she was sure was going to be a nightmare of social over-exposure.

The sheer amount of people that surrounded her as she made her way to her quarters made Daphne want to puke. There were several transluscent brown bottles in her suitcase somewhere, she knew, that contained her salvation from experiencing this foriegn reailty in a fully conscious state.

    Just a little further...

But then, as if fate were intervening to guide her safely to where she needed to be, an amazing sight appeared before her. Daphne stopped and squinted ahead through her glasses, trying to see between the throngs of people walking about the deck level of the ship and hoping that her panicking mind wasn't playing tricks on her. She continued forward and excitedly realized that it was no illusion. Her pace quickened and she almost stumbled over one of her blue sandals trying to reach her destination. Daphne had found the place that had become her home away from home over the past several months when she wasn't sleeping or working, and she strode to it bags in hand, completely ignoring the fact that she didn't even have a room to stay in yet.

    Daphne had found the bar.
