Demons running free (Medium Casual)

Ok my idea is this.

It's set in a parallel universe.

The roman empire is at the height of it's power and has conquered most of the known world.
The gods are in fact real but not in the sense that the romans believe. A god is a lump of energy from which creatures and worlds are formed. Sadly bad things can emerge from them as well as good, creatures of passion and madness...Demons. They roam the land bringing sadness and destruction wherever they choose to go. Almost impossible to kill they bring their horror in many different ways. Some kill with brawn and sheer ferocity, others use stealth and deception, while some indirectly cause events that cause mass death (A war for instance).
There is no logic to what Demons do, no sense, so one must never ever trust a Demon for they care for nothing and no one not even themselves.
In short a Demon is a collection of evil or angry emotions that have been fed energy by a god or Nebwieram as they are correctly called.

There were angels once. The exact opposite of a Demon, an Angel is a collection of benevolent or peaceful emotions. They gave mankind wisdom and guidance. But as mankind became darker and more evil, more Demons were formed and the Angel's power waned. Now Angels are weak and are mere sport for a Demon to play with as it pleases.

We shall play as Demons (unless you want to die).

Im not sure how the plot will unfold, I thought we could just play it by ear as it were!

Hm.. where would this be set in? A specific area, I should hope, so as to limit communication barriers such as language, time and space?
Would the Gods take any direct actions within the realm, or only through their angels or demons?
Would demons be only masses of "evil or angry emotions", or also :
-lustful feelings, such as greed, carnal lust, etc,
-lack of feelings, such as laziness, emptiness, futility, etc,
-feelings derived from loss, like sadness, grief, abandon, vengeance, etc,
-feelings derived from physical manifestations like physical pain, sadism, death, etc,
Would demons also have a chance to be composed of mental states like madness, confusion, obsession, etc?
Would the demons favor any side, or be chaotic neutral in alignment?
Would the demons exert direct control over creatures, or only influence by presence?
Would demons be capable of independent thought?
Would demons be able to possess a creature?
If the 2 questions above are answered positively, would demons be able to communicate with humans apart from possession, would humans be able to communicate with demons?
Are demons controlled by the gods who made them, or are they given free reign?
If they are controlled, can they break the chain of binding?

More questions may be in order, but for now this is all I have.
I only ask them because I'm interested, and because you didn't specify quite a lot of things in your post.
