    Computer problems…

I know this is a strange way to return to the pit, but I assume some of you must be tech savvy. Anyway, I just got the game Worms: Revolution on Steam. I install it, not problem. But when I click play, it almost starts up, but then the screen goes black and it sends me back to my desktop. I saw a little message down at the bottom saying something about resolution, but it’s gone now and I can’t seem to get it back. If anyone could help, that would be great…

Anyway, how is everyone? Has a new generation of noobs killed off the old-timers yet?

Ugh yeah BO2 does that to me on a daily basis. It's fucking frustrating I turned off the resolution notif but it still does it.

So, restart your comp, run the game and when you see your cursor with the little circle goin' round n' round (when the screen is all black), button mash the fuck out of the left mouse button and it should work.

Welp, I’d like to say that worked, but that’s not the case.

    Anyone else got anything?

Steam Library> Right click on Worms: Revolution> go in properties> click on the third tab (I think)> then click on verify game cache files

If that doesn't work consider checking for Nvidia updates, make sure your windows is up to date and out of desperation, update your BIOS.

If only I knew what any of that was. I’m not very good with this type of stuff, in case you hadn’t noticed.

For Nvidia: http://www.nvidia.com/Download/Scan.aspx it scans your computer and tells you what you need to update.

To update windows: click on start, then click in the search bar and type windows updates. Click on the program and see if you have any. It does the rest by itself.

BIOS update: http://www.pcworld.com/article/18743...your_bios.html This is to update your motherboard. Most of the time it's massively out of date and it will help your computer's performance and fix issues.

Nvidia updates only work if you actually have an Nvidia video card. If you have an ATI card...

Obviously, but If the scan doesn't work then we'll know what kind of car he, or she, has.

Fair enough. This'd be a lot easier if Marik could just post the laptop's specs here. Probably out of his league though.

EDIT: wait, why am I assuming it's about a laptop here

Thanks for the help V. I’m doing some updates as we speak, and hopefully things go well. I’ve been trying to get some friends to help out, but they’re too preoccupied playing Black Ops 2 zombies to help.
