RPG-Verse: Comic Universe

Hey everyone!

I've seen something like this run on another site and it was fairly popular, so I thought I’d give it a go here - RPG creates its own superhero comic universe!

Each person (Or persons) has jurisdiction over their own comic book line, creating lore, characters and events in order a flesh out the universe. I only ask that people respect others canons, and any major events that could affect a bunch of stories be discussed and approved first. The aim of this project is to have casual FUN, perhaps you're waiting to post in an RP and need to kill some time, or just want a little creative outlet. The added bonus being a setting people can utilise for their own RPs if they so wish. Feel free to make as little or as many entries as you like.

Rules:

1) Creators have authority over their own “Comic book line” and creations within.

2) Barring death and out of character, anyone can use them in their own lineage (Although I’d probably ask first)

3) Be responsible with major changes (De-powering masses of superheroes, destroying vast areas etc) and be aware of the consequences not just for your own line, but others too. I do encourage the occasional major change however.

4) Dark settings are allowed, but I would prefer the overall theme to be hopeful. The more the spandex clad superheroes, the better!

5) Unless there are objections, everything created is canon, so please be mindful of this and keep within setting lore.

Hey again, I already signed up for one RP you're running, and coincidentally this one looks like fun too.

So I'm guessing character interaction happens in the form of crossovers between series, or how does that work?

Hey Acme! Yeah, I feel like the M&M campaign isn't really going anywhere, but I found that I really enjoyed creating the lore and stuff so I thought I'd focus it in another direction!

There isn't much character interaction per say, heroes may have common enemies and such, so there is the opportunity for crossover there. The aim is to give an overview of characters, plots and even organisations in the universe and create a setting, not focusing on RPing events (Although people are free to do that elsewhere). Contributors are free to collaborate on crossover plots and devices, joint posts and such.

So characters can use a bit of exposition in their posts, referencing places, people or events that other players have written into canon?

Great to see some interest! I'll work on a short timeline in order to give us a basis for expansion, then I'll begin accepting submissions and work out any kinks in the process!

@Acme That's fine. Yeah reference away, just if you want to change their setting drastically then it'd be best to ask.
