Son of the Sun 2 (Daughter of the Fallen Star)

Okay so this picks up from an rp I loved and it actually did rather well. It died and was reborn in different shapes over the last year that I've played it but each time was fun and the characters were great so I'm going to continue the tale through a character who grew to be as important as the main protagonist. I will give a brief summary of the past rps, and the plot for this one, along with the links I can pull up for the original Son of the Sun.

• A solar flare of a fairly large magnitude releases the son of the sun, Cira
• Cira lives a bachelor's life for a year
• After a year of being on Earth Luna, spirit of the moon, arrives on Earth
• Soon after Luna's arrival shooting stars fall across the planet leaving the children of the stars
• These children prove to be more than human having abilities similar to that of Cira and Luna
• Cira and Luna spend the nearly a year searching the world for these children to save them from the persecution of humans whom they believe are not yet ready to see them
• Several incidents lead to the foster home for the children of the stars to be found and sought after by several government organizations.
• Those organizations chase the group across the state sending them into hiding.

• The group splits into two with Cira and Nova (a special star child) going a different way as their powers are more noticeable/powerful
• Nova is captured and her mind tortured through lies and confusion to the point she believes her captors are her "friends"
• Cira goes on a long journey to save her meeting many new friends along the way

Nova's star, like that of her name, went into a super Nova and was destroyed leaving her on Earth with no star to return to and she began to age like a normal human though she kept her powers. Also in the explosion another child was sent to Earth, Bastion. But in his weakened state he soon lost form and bonded with Nova's energy/form.

Years have gone by and most children have returned to their stars, all except for Nova who has aged and is no longer a young child but a young woman. Shaped by her experiences she is strong and capable of defending herself though the bond her and Cira share is still strong. Though this time Cira won't be there to help her. Now a new evil lurks in the darkness and no one knows what it is. Many stars in the sky have begun to fall and with each one a child comes to Earth. Cira has sought out to find the cause of these fallen stars and how he can keep them all from falling. He has passed down the task of protecting the children down to Nova while he searches for answers.

Now Nova embarks on a new journey to find the new generation of star children, but as she will find out, you can't save them all. Who will join her on this adventure? Which of them will make it out alive? What is the cause the the stars falling? Many questions are left unanswered and only a special few can find the answers.

"Nova you've gotten a lot taller since we first met. I remember when I found you in L.A. you barely reached my chest. It's crazy how things have changed." At that Cira sighed and sat back looking at the stars, or what remained of them. "Something is happening to us. I don't know who is doing it or what they have planned but we're losing our stars." He took a breath. "I've watched over you for years now it's hard to think of a time before we met."

He stood up on the grassy hill and tucked his hands in his pockets, "I need you to do something for me Nova. It's a lot to ask and if you don't feel up to it I understand." Then he turned and placed his hands on her shoulders, "I need you to do what I can no longer do. I need you to watch over the children of the stars. Ever since our stars started falling a lot more of them have showed up here on Earth. I'd look for them if I could but if I'm ever going to find out what's happening to us I just don't have the time."

Cira knelled down, once this would have put him at eye level with the girl but now he had to look up into her eyes, "I need you to do this for me." He took both of her hands and enclosed them around an object. "If you ever need us you'll know what to do." Then he stood up and backed away. Then in a burst of flames he soared into the air like a shooting star in reverse.

In her hands he left a necklace with a shard of the moon and the feather of a phoenix.

Appearance:

Originally had dark brown hair and even darker brown eyes. But once she became one with Bastion her hair went white blonde and her eyes blue grey.

Symbol:Her star symbol is on the top side of her right hand, she covers it with her long sleeves.

Abilities: Her powers are pretty much like Raven's from teen titans. A strange type of shadowy Teleknesis that she can do a lot of things with. She also has some electrical powers that she gained when she 'absorbed' Bastion.

edit: also just because Nova is the main protagonist in this doesn't mean other characters won't become important. Originally Nova was one of several star children, now Xikari has played her long enough I believe she can be the focus of the rp. Same could happen to one of you if we get that far.
