"Aaron, get down!" Terry's Grovyle glanced back at him, and continued climbing up the tree anyway. To Terry's knowledge, there was nothing up there, but of course he was a little surprised when the lizard dropped down with an apple in it's claw. "Oh, I see."
Though Terry didn't know it, this was indeed an Apple Tree (he hadn't quite gotten to studying botany yet) and Students and their Pokemon often stripped it bare when it started to produce fruit. Aaron got lucky and tracked down the last one in the tree.
    "Grovyle."
Aaron hopped back up onto his trainer's shoulder and started munching on the apple, "I wonder if they'll let you stay out in class, probably not, you may have to hang out in my dorm. Maybe I'll get an exception this being my first day and all." His Pokemon was visibly saddened at mention of having to stay in the dorm, but they needed to get to their first class Now and didn't have time to get accommodated yet. Terry dropped a hand into his pocket and grabbed his phone, swiped in the unlock code, and glanced at the calendar.
"Literature first, room... 242, great, I probably won't be able to find it."
He had 25 minutes to get there according to his schedule, the first 15 of which were spent walking around the school, getting occasional looks for the green reptile on his shoulder, but nobody spoke to him about it (yet at least) he thought. Finally he found a desk with someone who looked like they can help.

"I need to get to room 224... I mean 242, can I get directions please?" The secretary behind the desk pulled out a rolled up sheet of paper from behind the desk "Here you go, it's a full map of the school. It's policy to give one to all new students after we've had enough complaints about getting lost." Terry took the map gratefully and glanced over it, he found the entrance to the school and mentally counted out all the turns he'd taken when and where, then estimated his position. "Oh, and I like your grass type, what's his name? and yours, of course, I suppose it's a little rude to ask about the Pokemon and not the trainer." The secretary winked at him.
"His name is Aaron," Terry began, "And I'm Terry, sorry, but I need to get to class. Thank you!"

Thankfully he made it to the Classroom with about 5 minutes to spare, for a second he hesitated entering with his Pokemon out, but Aaron's Pokeball was actually back with his luggage, (Natasha's was in his backpack) So there wasn't anything he could do about that.

He was relieved when he entered to see others already in the room, some seated, some not, most were chatting. And he saw several Pokemon out as well. He wondered if this was because class had not officially started yet or if the rules were fairly lenient. "Hello," The new entrant gave a short wave and glanced around the room. "Where would be a good place to sit?"

Slowpoke sat lazing on Lazlo's desk, "Slooowpoooke?" it curiously replied to Terry, tilting it's pink round head to the side. A slender women with an olive skin tone stepped into the classroom holding books, files and an ornate pokeball. With her arrival the entire class began to quieten down and take their seats.
"Good morning, Class" The women said, allowing an enormous smile to envelop her face. The pokeball released itself revealing a Smeargle who immediately went to work writing on the whiteboard.

'Miss Lilly and Smeargle - Literature'

"Thank you, Smeargle." Miss Lilly said. Her attention immediately fell to Terry. "You can take a seat here next to Slowpoke? Or there's one at the back there." She said kindly.

On the other side of the empty desk, Lily was idly flipping the pages of the textbook, reading a passage here and there, just waiting for class to begin. Shiva was sprawled out beside her, dozing off in a bit of sun from the window, and she had decided to leave Albert in her dorm room, knowing that he could entertain himself playing Chess and Risk against her computer. He always had the difficulty set to maximum, to get a real challenge out of it. If she had brought him to class, he would likely be distracting to her fellow students, constantly teleporting and levitating around with nothing to do.

The girl shook her head a little as the professor and a latecomer entered the classroom, waking herself up, and she was immediately intrigued by the Pokemon on the latecomer’s shoulder. “Is that a Grovyle,” she muttered to herself, “or are my eyes playing tricks on me? Must be a Hoenn guy…” The professor, now identified as “Miss Lilly”, according to her Smeargle, was directing Mr. Grovyle towards either the desk to Lily’s left or the other empty desk at the back, so the girl smiled at him and made a few gestures, suggesting that he should next to her. “You know,” she said, “I’ve visited Hoenn several times, and even though I’ve never really gone beyond Slateport, Mauville and Lavaridge, it has to be one of my favorite regions. Where are you from? And, more importantly, where oh where did you find a Treecko? From what I know, those are beyond rare.”
    I must not fear.

    I will face my fear.
I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the fear has gone there will be nothing...

"Pika pi?" Naylis' Pikachu, Chu, mumbled as his head popped up from her hood. He looked around before slowing lowering his head back in and curling up. Naylis stared at her notebook; her eyes retracing the pattern she had made for the millionth time. She had no idea on what to say or do and merely remained silent, keeping to herself. Chu watched from her hood as the boy and Grovyle found a seat to Naylis' right. Naylis looked over at him and the girl who had spoken to him before looking back at her notebook. I haven't seen a Grovyle since Ross visited back home, She thought to herself.

Terry's Pokemon threw the apple core in a convenient trash can next to the door, while the trainer took stock of the Pokemon out in the room, (A Growlithe, a Smeargle, a Pikachu, and a Slowpoke, wonder how strong they are?)

“You know, I’ve visited Hoenn several times, and even though I’ve never really gone beyond Slateport, Mauville and Lavaridge, it has to be one of my favorite regions. Where are you from? And, more importantly, where oh where did you find a Treecko? From what I know, those are beyond rare.”
Terry sat down next to the girl who had asked the question and replied "I used to work with my uncle at the Hoenn Lab, I didn't actually have any Pokemon until somewhat recently, and my uncle managed to get me one of the prime starters." Terry rubbed Aaron on the back of the neck. "He can be mischievous, but I wouldn't have him any other way. I'm Terry, from Petalburg in Hoenn, nice to meet you."

"Hey, no way!" Lily burst out, excited to meet another Lab rat. "You worked with Professor Birch? I almost lived in Oak's Lab for the past few years! Man, is it great to meet a kindred spirit. Oh, oh, sorry, I never introduced myself." The young woman stuck out her hand for a casual handshake, saying "Lily Spruce, at your service, and this fluffy rascal beside me is Shiva. Don't let the name fool you, though, he's quite a sweetheart. Aren't you?" The Growlithe just made a little sound and rolled over on to his back, so she would scratch him. "Ahem, he also isn't one for introductions," she said, scratching the canine's creamy belly.

Just then, Ms. Lilly finished organizing her desk and addressed the class, forcing the first Lily to shut up and listen to her. "Now then," she said, the large smile still beaming out to them, "I hope all of you have read the pre-assigned materials, as that will allow us to jump right in and analyze! If you haven't, well, haha, you had better get started." Her laugh was a soft chuckle, and she gestured to her Smeargle to write something new on the board. He replaced their names with "Literature, the Basics" and began her lecture, mostly just outlining the syllabus, why each novel or poem was important to their overall understanding, that kind of thing. Lily had never had much experience with Literature as a class, though she read voraciously, so she didn't think she would have much trouble. And, at least, all of the books the Professor was talking about sounded quite interesting. That was her fear for this class: being assigned a very boring, bland book, and told that she had to find the meaning in it.

CAS had walked in somewhat feeling late, he looked calm and collective. "Sorry if I'm late and what not... I'm still getting used to the lay out of where to go at what time. But what have I missed if I may ask that without need of insult?" He said as he was somewhat strutting and swaying to his desk almost, a blue Espeon was following him, it looked around inquisitively as much as CAS had. CAS looked at the class and somewhat was devoid of expression, just a blank look with eyes that just zipped in and out around the room, metaphorically of course. He sat down looking at the others, somewhat unamused, than again he was not much for small talk or interjecting unless the conversation interested him. He wore a blue and black set of clothes, the top shirt somewhat being tight, a V forming as it went down somewhat exposing only his V line, the sleeves seeming not present as if they were never there, he was wearing shorts that were over his knees, but long black leather boots that went past his knees, that way no skin was showing. Really he was getting into a new fashion, though it was somewhat feminine, it looked fine on him, though it may have looked tight.
Every journey starts with a single step..

Dante was late... again. He had been exploring a nearby grove, hoping to stumble across anything of interest. Unfortunately for him, he came across nothing. For if he had, he probably would have skipped class all together. Currently he had a Literature class. It was one of the mandatory liberal arts classes that all students had to take, no matter their major.

Dante was 20 minutes late, and walked in right in the middle of the lecture. The heavy oak door behind him slammed shut, and all eyes turned to him, and the Shiny Charmander that was perched upon his shoulder.

"Ahhh, I assume you must be Mr. Mancinni, seeing as though your name was the only one without a response during attendance." Said the teacher, as the Smeargle behind stood, its tail dripping paint onto the elevated lecture stage. "I am Mrs. Lilly. And I must say, I am not amused. We at Orre University do not take kindly to miscreants, no matter who what region champion they may be related too." She added in a icy tone. "Consider this your warning from the entire faculty. Any misdemeanors and you will be on the first plane back to your home. Now sit down." She then turned and almost seamlessly continued on with her lecture.

Dante walked quietly down the stairs of the hall. There was only one open seat-- next to a girl with a Growlithe rolling lazily on its back. Dropping his leather and canvas pack behind the seat he plopped down. "Hey," he said to his neighbor in a low voice, "I'm Dante Mancinni. And you are...?"

Naylis looked to the two who had just arrived, late just like the other boy. "A lot of people like being late or something Chewie..." She whispered to Chu who had crawled on top of her desk. Chu looked up at her and nodded, "Pika pi." He said before resting his head on his paws again. Naylis chuckled softly at him as she looked up towards Mrs.Lily and went back to her normal quiet, meek demeanor.

Terry shook Lily's hand "nice to meet you too" and decided to focus in on the class.
Aaron mostly stayed quiet and watched the other Pokemon in the room. He knew if he started a fight with Shiva he would get scolded, even though they wouldn't intend to hurt each other. After a couple minutes he went down to the floor and fell asleep at Terry's feet.
After some time, another student entered the room. This one with a particularly colored Charmander with him (A Shiny? wow, I've only ever seen pictures of Shiny Pokemon, wonder where he could have gotten a starter with that mutation? Starter's aren't bred in any particularly large numbers so the odds of a Shiny showing up there are even lower. And even then it would probably have been taken for study rather than given to a trainer. This dude's special.) Terry Monologued internally about the new entrant. But more importantly, the lizard at his feet glanced up from his interrupted nap and saw the newcomer. "Don't do it." Terry whispered down and put his foot in front of Aaron, knowing he was about to cause trouble.

The new trainer took a seat two over from Terry, on the other side of Lily, immediately striking up a conversation, In Class, apparently he had no respect for the teacher who had just scolded him for tardiness (what a guy)

For a moment, Terry's mind turned to battling, for once. He knew him and the other's in the room would be engaged in friendly competition (or perhaps not-so-friendly) at some point, Aaron was very strong, and very fast, but the type advantage of the two prominent fire types in the room wasn't something he wanted to deal with. Natasha wouldn't be at such a strict disadvantage, and plus knew Rollout, a strong rock type move that would put quite some pain on the fires here. But wasn't as strong or experienced as Aaron. His thoughts went straight back to the class though, he knew how to pay attention.
