It seems as though you have found yourself in the Arkham Asylum, whether it be from your choosing, a Judge's, or Batman's. The cells are made of concrete with a plexi-glass side so its easy to see everything inside a cell with relative safety from the outside. But then again, the only real safety around here is outside the gate.


So yeah, you get it. Arkham is not a place for joking around (Hehehe). Do you dare step foot inside?

This is a reboot of a roleplay that I had a lot of fun with about a month ago, but people dropped and were busy and such, so it sorta died. Well not just sorta, it bit the dust hard. But I missed it, and I hoped to get some people in on this again!

You can play as a staff member or an inmate, but we want a sufficient amount of both. This will be while Harley is still Harleen Quinzel and is a psychologist in Arkham. Once I get some interest, I'll get a list of Canons that are playable, and you can also be your own OC.

Bio: A promising*botanist*from Seattle, is seduced by Marc LeGrande into assisting him with the theft of an*Egyptian*artifact containing ancient herbs. Fearing she would implicate him in the theft, he attempts to poison her with the herbs, which are deadly and untraceable. She survives this murder attempt and discovers she has acquired an immunity to all natural toxins and diseases, however she nearly dies twice as a result from these poisonings driving her insane. Enraged at the betrayal, she suffers from violent mood swings, being sweet one moment and evil the next.She begins her criminal career by threatening to release her suffocating spores into the air unless the city meets her demands. Batman, who appears in Gotham that very same year, thwarts her scheme, and she is incarcerated in Arkham Asylum. From this point on, she has a kind of obsession with Batman, he being the only person she could not control. Over the years, she develops plant-like superpowers, the most noticeable being a lethal toxin in her lips; she is able to literally kill with a kiss.

Appearance: Stands around 6'1, brown eyes and no hair. He has a solid build, not ripped but heavily muscled.
Initial Crime: Murder, arson, theft, gang activity
State of Mind: Unhinged to say the least, he suffers from a split personality syndrome (Roman, and black mask) As well as schizophrenia, anger issues. He is basically a melting pot.
Personality: Roman was a wealthy son of a rich and power family, he is seen somewhat as the playboy son, not overly charismatic. Suffers from the schizophrenia only as roman, hides his anger and despises "fake" types of people.
Black mask is the inner feelings of roman unleashed, psychotic and dangerous he is the leader of a large mob network in Gotham.
Bio: Following the suspicious death of his multi-millionaire parents in a fire, Roman Sionis inherited their fortune and went on to bankrupt their company. Saved by a buyout by Bruce Wayne, Sionis came to resent and hate Wayne. Fixated on the concept of masks, Sionis carved one from his farther's black coffin and sought revenge needles to say his fight with the bat went as expected...

He was one of the most powerful mob bosses and a feared figure in Gotham he has a burning hatred of batman and now finds himself in Arkham.

State of Mind: Jervis is obsessive-compulsive, and highly delusional. He's got an immature self-image, so he identifies more with children than adults. Oh and he's a genius, too

Personality: Jervis is obsessed with Hats of all shapes and sizes, he´s highly desillusional and obssesed with the book of "Alice in Wonderland" and "Through the looking-glass". So by being obsessed with those books it happens that he can´t differ between reality and the story written in those books. He often speaks in rhymes as a defense mechanism and it also happens that he doesn´t eat a thing which doesn´t have a hat on it.
While he´s crazy he seems uterally happy with a hat on but is slowly decaying without one.

Bio: A true product of insanity and schizophrenia, Jervis Tetch became obsessed with the story, "Alice in Wonderland", and the incredible ability of controlling a person's mind through hypnosis techniques. Fashioning himself into the image of the iconic character, The Mad Hatter, Jervis uses his expertise in mind control to place his victims under a hypnotic state to recreate them into the other signature characters from his favorite story. Among these characters, none took Tetch's insanity to such ultimate extremes as did Alice herself.

Looking for young women with blond hair and blue eyes, Jervis is responsible for the abduction of dozens of young girls, some of them being children, where he would eventually brutally molest and murder them during a schizophrenic episode. Regardless of how many young girls and women he abducts and kills, Jervis is always on the lookout for another potential Alice to complete his diluted fantasy of living in a fantasy storybook.

Name: Peter Merkel Jr (AKA Ragdoll II)

State of Mind: Unhinged at the very least.

Personality: Peter is someone who is intent on labeling himself as a freak. He is a selfish man who finds joy in killing and stealing. He is however able to work in a team, though prefers to work alone. He has deep family issues, resenting both his father, as well as his brother after the latter reported his location to the Batman.

Abilities: Through a series of surgeries, Ragdoll had his biological joints replaced with artificial ones. These joints allow him to bend, compress, and contort in ways even master contortionists cannot. Ragdoll requires a special emollient to keep his artificial joints from tearing through his skin. He often wields a knife and is an adequate hand-to-hand fighter.

Bio: Born as a "normal child" to the original Ragdoll, his father loathed him as he did not have the ability to follow the family history of contortionists. Wanting to make his father proud, he underwent surgery to implant lubricated cybernetic joints that let him emulate his father's physique. The surgery left him badly disfigured and requiring regular doses of an emollient to lubricate his skin. During the surgery he also removed his testicles, stating to those who asked that they were unneeded. Due to this, his bind began to detiriorate as he went to a life of crime. He used his new found skills as a contortionist to rob vaults and museums of relics and money, creating a small name for himself. After a while however, he officially branded himself as insane. He joined the Secret Six, and worked with them for years. Their last heist however, went extremely bad. He ended up fleeing the scene of the crime after the warehouse they had been robbing went up in flames. He stayed at his brother Michael's house for the next few weeks, learning of his teammate's deaths or arrests.

After his brother learnt of his identity of Ragdoll, he immediately reported him to the police, and they then reported it to Batman. The lunatic was taken down instantly and Ragdoll found himself locked up in Arkham.

State of Mind: Crucking Fumbled (Unhinged +++)
Personality: Ace's mind is in a state of terrible disarray, and thus she's not technically relatable in the common sense. Due to her dubious "upbringing", and self proclaimed lack of childhood, her mind and personality are in a developmental limbo, causing her to want to "play".

Bio:
Born Harleen Francis Quinzel, Harley grew up in Gotham City. Before she could even blink an eye, she was a student at Gotham City University, where she dreamed to one day be a pop psychologist.

She won a gymnastic scholarship but still had that burning desire to earn a degree in psychology. Harleen never really earned great grades in that field, even though she tried her hardest. Crushed by her low markings, she seduced her professor into changing her grade to a perfect score, which was the highest grade of that year's students.

Harleen chose to intern at Gotham City's Arkham Asylum for the criminally insane because she dreamed of crafting a tell-all book about criminal mystique. There she met Dr. Joan Leland, who made Harleen feel comfortable in her new environment. She taught her everything she would need to know about the building, the doctors, and more importantly, the inmates.

Personality: sweet and kind but firm. she smiles and is light-hearted with the inmates as long as they don't cross the line. when they do, she becomes cold and clinical. doesn't let what the inmates have done affect her job to care for them as a nurse. she tries, and fails, to hide her fear of some of the inmates *cough* Joker *cough, cough*
Bio: Mom and Dad retired to Florida. Lives on her own with her cat Jingle and her hamster Porky. Brother was killed in one of Joker's schemes, hence her fear of him.

Occupation: Head of surveillance, helps to monitor and maintaining surveillance cameras, manages the prison’s information database.
Personality: Lazy, falling asleep when people aren’t watching…but at the same time, a thoughtful person.

Bio: Born ad raised in India, Jaina just recently moved to Gotham. Her parents are quite successful so there is no need for her to work, especially not such a dangerous job but she seems to enjoy it a lot.

I have to admit, I don't know who Black Mask is.

He was the son of a really rich family that hated the wayne family, there family owned a cosmetics company as well. So eventually he rises to become the CEO of the company, and i'm pretty sure he killed his parents, the company failed because he sucks at business, then becomes a crime boss who wears a black skull mask. Hes pretty awesome and bad ass. Though i would like to add my own spin on him if i was able to, id play him with a mental illness that his cannon character does not have. Probably an acute form of schizophrenia and split personality. Up to you though, i just think he would be fun to play and he is not that powerful or anything. Just a human, a dash of crazy, and usually has many minions in gotham. So, how would this rp play out anyway? would we be stuck in cells, then moved to areas or something like that? Like a real prison/mental ward?
