Out of nowhere came a blast and one of the Paragon troopers tripped and fell. Though the alien quickly got up again with relatively little damage done to him, the Paragon squadron stopped to scan the surroundings. Another blast. Now one of the Paragon's had actually taken a little damage, its leg armor almost smashed from a heavy projectile's impact. Again a blast came, this time it was not a single projectile, but rather a ball of flaming garbage that exploded and sent flakes of fire raining down on the Paragon. The squadron, being too armored to take any too serious damage from any of this, still retreated from the spot of constant bombardment and ran away. Should Robyn stop, she would see a skinny man expose himself from one of the windows of a ruined building and wave at her. Also poking out from the window would be what looked like an enormous cannon constructed from mostly garbage and car-parts. Shortly after she would spot the cannon, many of the parts would fall off and a lot of German and French swearword would echo from the building. "Scheiße! Vhy doez zis alvayz happen!" The man, obviously German, had saved her life.
"Ey! You down zhere! Vhy don't you come up here so ve can maybe share somezhink to eat? You look skinny from up here!" Heinrich shouted at her. He did not make an effort to silence his shouting. If any his shouting attracted attention and his "cannon" did not, these aliens had a strange way of thinking. Shooting echoed from an alley a few yards down the street. "Vell! Zhink faster! I'm sorry, but you need to make up your mind! Zhey can be comink any moment now!" Should Robyn chose to seek refuge with the German, she would run into a mostly stable building. The German would hide on the fourth floor in a small apartment which has been decorated to look homely under the current circumstances. "My name iz Heinrich Schuster. Don't vorry. You can trust me. If you wish you can stay here for a vhile. Humans survive better is a group after all." Heinrich would smile and wait for her response.
