Aside from the obvious ability chains have in binding or tying someone up, or striking someone, They are basically the same as his staff. In that they can become incorporeal when needed, stronger then diamond and all that..
If you have ever watched Hellsing and seen the butler with the invisible wires it's allot like that, only with chains.

The only Hellsing I watched is that movie with the Wolvering guy lol. And that was a few years ago. I'm going to stick with the indestructible description on your CS than hard as diamonds, considering Xavier smashes diamonds like dirt clods :P I'm currently at that point where they have incapacitated him and caused him to use that technique you witness with the fight between Xavier and your sand man which amps up his power. Hopefully I get it done soon lol
Blood you're a smart cookie, I expect creative uses for those powers. They might not seem powerful to the inexperienced but I know you have a the chops to use them well.

What is the max number of charges you can have on a chara?

You can build them up until you get hit hard enough to either use them to protect yourself or lose them. But honestly I have never seen anyone go past 4-5 max.

Well I appreciate the kind words :P I do have a few ideas as a use for them. To be honest Silux kind of gave me one with his time manipulation technique :P I don't understand too much about how the abilities work exactly. But I get the gist of it lol.
