I really don't get how that thread turned into a flamefest, other than to think Hellis did it randomly and unprovoked.

I'm going to have to disagree. Christie and her comments are flame bait. I'm pretty sure Hellis is the 3rd person to take a ban for flaming Christie. Yes, he could have walked away from it, but then Jorick pulled up a chair. (which was lols for sure.)

Ummmmm, not nearly warranting the reaction Hellis gave. I get the Christie didn't help things, but she wasn't doing anything against the rules. I thought it was just banter until Hellis started feeling the need to attack her intelligence in a decidedly non fonz cool way. Christie just saw it as an opportunity to post images.

I have warning set to expire from 8 months ago, in which I got mad at people glorifying Rome too much.
I had a warning because I argued with someone who was flaming me. The warning isn't set to expire until nearly 3 months from now.

I'm well aware, but there was no provocation in that thread. Someone mentioned visiting 4chan and she said "don't do it" when Hellis jumped in. That isn't flamebaiting.
