    Metron's Storm [Bloodbayne & SlowPlow]

Vast, the city of Metron was. This metal city of the modern age stretched for miles and miles, with towering structures that reached for the sky. Millions lived there, buzzing through it like bees in their hive. And everywhere, there were lights; small, large or quickly gone, brightening up its buildings and roads. Each person and light made up the heart of what Metron was. It seemed to vibrate; to have a pulse of its own, like a living thing. Its heart, though, was in grave peril. A great storm was approaching the city of Metron, but it was not a storm of the weather.

Deep inside it, nearly at its core, there was evil at work. A man – no, not a man, but a beast, lay scheming. It schemed to end Metron; to rob it of its heart. The beast was greatly reduced. It wanted to regain the strength it had once had. The millions of souls found in the city would replenish it some, but not wholly, for the power he sought to restore was tremendous. Metron was just a fragment of what was the beast’s due, for it was this world which had stolen its power. Yet the powers of daemons are not stolen easily. Not without gruesome vindication. That time was now, the time to take back what was his, and deal out judgment as he saw fit. Yes, the beast was not a thing, but a he, and he owned a name. He had many names, in fact, for he had once been known throughout the world. The Prince of Grief some had named him, others, the Lord of Sorrow, and still others, Doom of Flesh. There were countless names for him, each one inspiring more fear than the next. But they were all names born from the terror of man, which they had held with reverence for this great beast. He bore only one name of his own making, the name which he had taken upon himself when he had first come to the realm of men. Aezhlamon.

And as Aezhlamon stood there among suited carcasses, absorbing one soul after another, he felt a fierce presence. The souls of men were tiny things. Consuming one of them was like swallowing the littlest drop of water. The one whose presence came so noticed was greater than any man. Its soul rivaled Aezhlamon’s own. Attaining it would mean a big step towards the replenishment of his strength. It was nearing him, heading for him. He licked his lips like a man before an enticing meal, and waited patiently for its arrival.

Darkness. Darkness and silence are all that lie between the innumerable plains of reality; save for the looming essence of a man long ago forgotten on any reality. The man had once been a noble knight fighting against the evil his planet was plagued by, only to have been swallowed by the very darkness he fought against. The darkness caused a hunger within this man, a never ending hunger for power which drove him to devour his home world, destroying himself in the process. Many a century has passed since that fateful night and the man, having rebuilt himself, has set about hunting down and defeating the best of fighters a reality plain would have to offer.

At this moment the man's presence hovered upon a grouping of threads which showed him a city full of human life and the infectious nature their societies building skills. It never ceased to amaze this man that these men and women could hold such similarities to his own people and yet be different in so many possible ways, they could not even move a pebble through non-physical means if their life depended on it. The man was ready to give up his search for the moment, intent on plucking only a final thread of the reality plains thread before finding another more suitable location; however this final pluck had intrigued him.

Each pluck which was performed upon a reality thread would present a resonation equal to the total energy levels of the people along or near that thread as well as giving him a brief image of the surrounding area. The initial resonation given off by the vibrating thread was relatively unappealing, nothing more than a series of dull and low tones that simply fought one another for the lowest tone; pitiful. It was within the dying echoes of the resonation that the man caught a soft high pitched note cry for attention before dying away. Whatever the man had heard was sure to hold a great deal of power and pose a suitable challenge, it was merely surrounding itself with the duller tones, a fight perhaps? All the man was given as an image was the sight of death as numerous bodies were stacked atop one another, it would appear the entity was far.from peaceful.

The beings energy levels caused a stir of excitement within the man's energy presence before it was all at once forces upon this single thread of reality. To make room for himself the frail and limp forms of the deceased began to decay at an incredible rate as their remaining energy was absorbed, causing a small visible ripple to radiate through the air. This ripple was followed by a deep and defeaning pulsation followed by a near blinding flash of red light as the mans energy presence suddenly took shape in this realm no more than 10 ft from Aezhlamon. The man took a.form which stood at 5"11 inches, shoulder length ash grey hair, black tank top, pants and cloth wrist guards. The man's eyes held a light red hue as did the metallic mask which.covered his mouth, distorting his voice as well as lowering its tone as the man began to speak.

Aezhlamon cowered before the blinding light. Who was this, who could produce such brightness? An archangel come to face one of their eternal foes? The light faded as quickly as it had come, and it was no angel who stood before him, but something man-like, who came with nothing but a name and a challenge. The man's soul felt tainted, as if its bearer had committed sin upon sin upon sin, consuming it in darkness. He had ruined life, this man, more times than was possible to sense. So it was a creature akin to himself, who desired pain and misery. Aezhlamon laughed with a booming voice as dark as the night itself. "Then you shall have it", said the daemon, and then came a ripping sound. From the darkness of his cowl a head came flying to the ground between them, a gray and shriveled thing which looked like it hadn't felt sunlight for an eternity. The head lay still, but the laughter continued pouring out of the dark figure. However headless, the cowl remained inexplicably up. As the laughter died, the figure asked, "Tell me, warrior of the damned, why do you thrust yourself on Aezhlamon's spear this day?"

As the being before him began to speak Xavier shut his eyes and forced the sound of the other man's voice from his head, focusing upon the molecules which surrounded his body. Slowly his body began to radiate his own personal energy into the surrounding area, allowing it to permeate and saturate all things which surrounded his body. This technique would hold no visible classifications of.an attack, as it would.simply.begin to cause a light red haze in the air similar to a light fog. However Xavier would need only to focus his energy.into the surrounding area for approximately 2 minutes before it would potentially prove problematic for the other creatur During this time Xavier.would have.no.access to his.energy reserves though he looked forward to a straight.forward physical confrontation, it would allow him to see.if.the man.could keep up.

As the man finished speaking Xavier made no attempt to give him an answer to his question, only opening his eyes.suddenly and looking directly at the man. In the same instant his eyes opened Xaviers body all but vanished from sight as his feet carried him forward and to the right, before changing course and heading directly towards Aezhlamon. Xavier made no attempt to slow his speed as he charged forward, only pointing his shoulder towards Aezhlamons body in the hopes of landing a powerful shoulder slam.

The blow struck Aezhlamon, the speed of his opponent taking him by surprise. The frail, robed shape was knocked across the room, hitting the far wall. It would've knocked the air out of him, had he been breathing any. So this warrior would not indulge him - it took a willful man to resist his words. It was a spirit who saught either victory or death, challenging an archdaemon. Looking at the warrior, he could believe both. Aezhlamon couldn't take this fight lightly. "Hounds", he said calmly. From dark corners came large four-legged beasts, easily standing as tall as any man and they all had thick, sinewy muscles. Their fur was black as the shadows whence they came, and their eyes burning coals. Over a dozen had already appeared, growling in their throats. Aezhlamon pointed a skeleton finger at Bloodbayne. "Lunge", he said, and the hounds did as their Lord bid, leaping at their target.

[You didn't specify a number of 'hounds' but with the over a dozen part I'll run with 15.]

A small smirk touched Xaviers lips which lie hidden beneath the metallic mask upon his face as the man was slammed against the wall, not too fast from the looks of things. As the man righted himself and spoke Xavier became aware of 15 new presences within the surrounding area, it would seem that this man had some assistance. The beasts which slowly prowled their way from within the shadows resembled large wolves, a powerful beast indeed but even their numbers would be of no help to them. As the beasts began to circle Xavier allowed his eyes to shut and his focus turned to the reality threads surrounding him. This allowed him to very accurately sense the positions of every hound, using their positioning to strategically summon small puddles of the liquid metal which courses through his veins. Each puddle was in perfect alignment with the hounds and tracked their movements until their master gave the order to lunge, no sign having come from Xavier to warn of a defense.

As the hounds leaped towards Xavier his eyes suddenly opened and in this same instance the puddles of metal suddenly sprang into action as 15 large, red hued spikes suddenly shot from Xaviers skin, tearing through the fabric on his shirt in some spots. The spikes moved almost instantaneously and would move to pierce through each hound. Each spike was designed with several tiny serated hooks facing towards the spikes point, ensuring death for anything they made contact with as well as ensuring they would remain within a target whether dead or wounded. Furthermore Xavier rose his right hand into the air, pointing an open palm directly towards Aezhlamon which crackled momentarily with a bright red energy before a large bolt of Xaviers personal Dread Energy suddenly tore through the air. The energy present within this single bolt was comparable to a bolt of lightning, holding 400Mega Joules of electrical power. An additional effect of the energy is an after-impact effect, as it crawls through the nervous system to attack every inch of the body possible.

[If you have any questions or problems let me know lol.]

The bolt looked like it hit where Aezhlamon stood, but in reality it hit through him. He had become transparent, as if he was a shadow of himself, thus the bolt had struck the wall instead. After the blinding flash of the bolt faded, all the light in the room was suddenly snuffed out, leaving it pitch black. But darkness was Aezhlamon's closest ally. But a brief moment after the bolt had struck, Aezhlamon was behind Bloodbayne, whispering in his ear. "Znjacsnemarr pytro", he whispered. And when those words are heard whispered, the listener would feel intense pain for a prolonged time. If Bloodbayne would attempt to strike him, Aezhlamon would fend the attack off with a sword of flames. Only, the flames burnt unnaturally dark, not light, so it disrupted not the darkness of the room.

The bolt fired at Aezhlamon had almost appeared to make contact, however Xavier was no moron and could sense the fact his attack had struck nothing but air. Furthermore Xavier could no longer see the man due to various forms of trickery, though his sight was irrelevant as Xaviers connection to the reality plain granted him all the vision he needed. With that in mind Xavier could feel Aezhlamon standing behind him before the man even spoke, sending out a single thought towards his bolt of energy, demanding it strike the tower directly infront of it in order to spread throughout its form. The next action came on the first syllable Aezhlamon spoke within Xaviera ear as a single deep pulsation sounded through the air before Aezhlamons words hit thin air. Xavier had momentarily melded two.separate threads of reality to allow an instaneous escape, he was never to fond of having his back to his opponent regardless of their specific intentions.

No more than 10 ft from where Aezhlamon stood was where Xavier appeared next, standing atop the roof of a small bullding nearby with his eyes locked towards Aezhlamons location. Xavier knelt upon the rooftop to lay the palm of his right hand upon in, bridging a connection between its metallic structue and the ground to channel his Dread Energy along.it. As this.happened a brief quake.began.to shake the earth surrounding the two men before 2 square, red hued tall pillars suddenly tore into the sky, standing 40ft high and 5 feet thick these pillars were infused with Dread Energy and constantly radiated it into the air. Other than this he simply awaited an action from the other man, it didn't appear he enjoyed direct.confrontation all that much.
