    NoW: Merlock Maron vs. Aero

FIRST POST Merlock Maron Deductions 1/10 failure to post within time limit.

    SECOND POST Aero

    STARTING: 2/01/13
    ENDING: 2/22/13

    ARENA: Dead Forest

    Battle Ground: Dead Forest

    General Size:

Several miles in radius, as shown by satelitte imagery. It is very easy to get lost within this forest.

    Participant Limit:

    There is no upward amount.

    Magical Properties:

A wicked forest with a gloomy atmosphere. The souls of tens of thousands of warriors and mages rest here during their unending travels to paradise. They claim the land as theirs, inhabiting the vegetation, and other assorted resources, making it impossible to manipulate. With the hostile souls inhabiting the forest, burning it down has become obselete, as the numerous souls overpower the magic. Even necromancers find their power useless against these mighty souls, leaving would-be masters to whatever items they have brought with them. In essence, the forest, for as long as it is home to these souls, will always remain as it stands.

    Restrictions:

As noted above, it is impossible to manipulate this forest or the souls within it, in any fashion. To do battle in here, one must be very prepared, or prepare to be extremely unlucky. It will cost extra to bring in outside things to be manipulated, if not already on the person when they enter.

    Suggested Character Level:

    Any level.

The writer who cares more about words than about characters, action, setting, and atmosphere is unlikely to create a vivid and continuous dream; he gets in his own way too much; in his poetic drunkenness, he can't tell the cart- and its cargo- from the horse.

Of worldly life, let him who can win
glory before he dies: that lives on
after him, when he lifeless lies."

Merlock stood in the forest, more stoic then he normally would have been. He had already thought on about three strategy's he could use to beat an opponent. He tried to warm up his telekinesis, but it didn't work in this forest, so he should manage on surviving by doing something else. Telekinesis normally was his ultimate defence, and now he could hardly use it, he was more then screwed, that was true. So how would he win? Obviously by thinking of tactics, just like mentioned before, he had already thought on about three. It was a little bit freezing, but nothing Merlock couldn't handle. He had walked in the forest without sound, so he doubted his opponent would have heard him. Though it was more then possible that he was seen. Not smelled though, he didn't had smell.

He started preparing for his ability: Own world, so he could use it later for one of his strategy's. He shifted his eyes, wondering when his opponent was going to come, and how he would look like. What? A wizard could distract himself so that he didn't think about how he was preparing, which was pretty boring. But yeah, he was preparing for his ability Own World, so he could use it later. Both his knifes were in a 'knife holder' hidden somewhere at his torso. He had no harm, since one needed his energy to activate, and the other one just couldn't cut anyone or anything.

He casually used telekinesis to lift a stone there, and then he realised that he could use telekinesis. Perhaps just not on this forest because of those spirits. Hmm, interesting fact for now. It was a forest, more then enough rocks should be there to save him.

Within the center of the Dead Forest amongst its black decaying trees sat the form of a man long ago lost to a higher evil power. The man's name was Aero and at the moment he did nothing but sit cross legged upon a fallen tree, meditating for the few moments before his opponent would make his appearance. The man's master had told him to seek out the man who would be venturing through the Dead Forest on this day, his orders simply to pummel the man until he tool his final breath. This thrilled Aero for it had been sometime since a target had been specified for assassination, some fun was likely to had this day.

Within the darkness behind his eyelids Aero heard the soft whisper of his masters voice, beckoning his eyes to open and greet the would be opponet. Opening his eyes Aero turned his head and locked his dark red eyes onto the horizon to his right, sensing a subtle energy presence beyond the tree line, it was difficult to sense accurately in this strange forest. Regardless Aero stood from his cross legged position and leapt into the air, channeling a brief burst of air from the sole of each foot to propel his body above the tree lines. The landing which followed thereafter would be more than capable of being heard as numerous branches broke and shattered against his body before he landed with a heavy thud only 15 feet from Merlock. Aeros body had slumped towards the ground upon landing, almost in a fetal position as he allowed.his.personal.energy to slowly radiate from his body. The soil and trees seemed to reject his energy, meaning the energy level of the surrounding forest was too strong; however permeating the air with it was still very much a possibility.

[ooc: i didn't knew you could sense energy. Or is it custom for everyone? If so, i wanna know, because then i could use it to]

Merlock noticed someone enter the scene, so this was his opponent, huh? He got ready, by taking his durable knife, and holding it in front of him. He would have to try his opponent strength out, so he did his most simple attack, and his only directly attacking attack. His beam. He pushed off his beam, while looking at his opponent feet, if his opponent even tried to dodge, he would use Telekinesis to entangle his feet, and hopefully, it would work and leave him on his place, which should make him get hit, generally, his beam was directed at the hips, so even if he tried to dodge with his upper body, it should still hit him. He would harden the earth he would use to entangle his opponent's feet, until it was very strong.

And if he ever got so strong to be able to kick it away, it would atleast slow him down enough to get his beam to beat him. He had already seen he was pretty strong, hence he could jump so high. So now it was time to test his adaptibility.

[I thought it was an all around ability for everyone lol. And you can't use the ground to your advantage here :P The surroundings are uncontrollable. If I read the area info correctly.]

Aeros form remained completely still as the energy beam was launched towards him, he could not see it but it gave off a dull roar as it tore through the air. It was not until the beam was 10 ft away and was within the field of Aeros energy that Aero fully sensed the attack, flexing his muscles in preparation to move out.of.dangers path. As he went to move however his.mind sent up a warning as his.body sensed.vibrations from the earth as it was moved in an attempt to trap him. However Aero was an elementalist and.very skilled.in main elemental abilities and so he forced the earth back to its flat state before his body suddenly.lurched 5 ft to the right, a cloud of dust in the wake of Aeros.movement. Whether this was all the man could do or not was up for debate but Aero had yet to see anything worth worrying about. However he did feel as though it was time for him to test the defensive capabilties of this new opponent. Aero had no idea who or what he was currently facing, he had yet to look up since reaching the clearing and would only utilize his senses for the moment, a method of toying with his opponent.

Remaining in this crouched position Aero willed his Dread Energy enriched blood to pour from the pores on his scalp, creating small invisible puddles of the liquid hidden amongst his hair. It took only a half second to do this and another quarter second to release his attack as strands of his hair were suddenly displaced as several objects shot from his scalp. The objects were as thin as rice paper and rounded perfectly with razor sharp edges, comprised of a metal tougher than any earthen element known as Dread Metal. The disks numbered 10 in total each one holding a diameter of 3 inches, relatively small but they would be hard to ser and covered a 5 foot wide area in the air; able to reach his opponent in only 3 seconds.

WARNING POST: Please observe rules of this battle ground.
They claim the land as theirs, inhabiting the vegetation, and other assorted resources, making it impossible to manipulate.
I will allow minor elements such as small rocks and some minor dead wood to be manipulated but the very ground itself is not malleable. No point deduction at this point but any further violation of a major battleground element will be cause for a 1/10 point deduction per infraction. There is no infraction as telekinesis was used and not the ground itself. That being said you may disregard the hardening of the earth as a further effect, the entanglement is an issue you have to face.
