Twilight Runners (Space Pirate rp)

The "Twilight Runners" are a famous crew of space pirates that are known not for being evil, but being more like the "Robinhood and co." of space. They take from the rich that don't need anything, and give to the poor that need more. Food, money, supplies, technology, whatever those in need require, the Twilight Runners usually try and help. Very little is known about the crew itself other than it's a small group of about seven beings all together, each one fulfilling a specific role in the crew.

Now, a little bit about the setting. The year is 3157, and humans had attained faster than light travel around 2134 thanks to alien interaction when a device called the beacon was activated on the moon Titan. Humans soon learned of the mass of alien life that existed in the universe and became a part of it's society, the "Unified Galactic Force". During a war that occurred in 2286, the humans established their role as the first response forces, basically if any fighting were to occur, the humans would be the first to act.

The major races of the UGF are:
-Humans: Probably the most military driven of the races, they make up over 50% of the UGF army and are the first response forces to any threat of the UGF

-Elphein: A race that many humans would describe as "Elves," the Elphein do fit the description of elves quite well, having humanoid appearances with much more slender bodies, pointed ears, full fluorescent blue eyes, and pale white skin. They are also carbon based life as humans, and their genetics can even mix with humans (Elphein/Human children are possible). The Elphein are used as a special forces unit of the military because of their psychic powers. They have mind reading, thought manipulation, and telekinteic abilities usually, but other abilities can appear although very rare.

-Cryptid: A race of humanoid creatures that evolved from an animal that existed on the Elphein home planet. The Cryptid resemble a cross between dogs and cats with their sharp eyes, cat like eyes, and dog like tails. They are also the most intelligent life amongst the UGF, especially when it comes to machinery. The Cryptid are actually responsible for creating a fully mechanized race that has blossomed into it's own group within the UGF

-Viscon: The Viscon are a race of intelligent machine life created by the Cryptid. They come in many different shapes and designs as they are created within factories, but they are intelligent and have their own emotions. The UGF first feared them and what they could be capable of but the Cryptid and Elphein's guidance made sure that the Viscon remained their allies. The Viscon are also repsonisble for creating the first ever ships that are fully self operated.

-Cryos: The race that existed before all else and have now gone extinct for an unknown reason, they are believed to be the progenitors of the humans, especially since it was the Cryos technology that was found on Titan by the humans. They disappeared around the same time that earth first started to develop life, so the theory goes that the Cryos used whatever bio-engineering science they could to create life before they disappeared which resulted in earth gaining life, and humans being created. The Cryos also supposedly share similar design to humans, as they were also compatible to mate with Elphein, and had similar body shapes.

-Gris: A race of four legged creatures. The Gris are very advance when it comes to medical and bio-engineering abilities, and they make up many of the science projects that the UGF are working on.

So, now it's time to touch up on the plot. It will start off with basically just introducing the crew and getting everyone acclimated, and then the next part will dive into things involving the Cryos. It will be a fun light hearted rp for the most part, but there are times when I plan on making it dark and serious, can't be all fun and games.

So, I am accepting a small list of people and THIS ISN'T FIRST COME FIRST SERVE

-Pilot/Navigator
-Doctor
-Weapons Expert

And you can choose to be any of the races listed above except the Cryos. So yeah, I can't wait to see if this picks up interest or not.

This looks incredible! I have a question about the Viscons, however. They're essentially machines, and you mention that they come in many sizes and shapes. Could they come in humanoid forms?

And would it be possible to have a human/cyborg like character? Perhaps they lose an arm or a leg in a skirmish and spare parts Viscon parts are used as a highly advanced prosthetic?

Yes and yes. Viscon are pretty machines with minds and emotions so they could be anything. Also, cyborgs do exist as well.

I was wondering if you needed an antagonist to be played? I would be intrested in playing a UGF officer tasked with tracking down the Runners (I could work with you on the story.)

I wouldn't call that role an antagonist role, but if can get one person per role (aka we fill out the listed roles) then I'd be willing to talk it through
