Plot

For generations the continent has been divided into the Lands of Fire, Water, Wind, Earth, and Lightning. They are known collectively as the Great Shinobi Countries, because each one houses Hidden Villages home to ninja of all ages and walks of life. Konohagakura, the Village Hidden in the Leaves can be found in the Land of Fire. Kirigakure, the Village of the Bloody Mist, is found in the Land of Water. Sunagakure, the Village Hidden by Sand, can be found in the Land of Wind. The Land of Earth has Iwagakure, the Village Hidden by Rocks. And finally, the Land of Lightning has Kumogakure, the Village Hidden by Clouds. There are other Hidden Villages that are not counted as part of the Great Shinobi Countries as well, such as Otogakure, the Village Hidden by Sound. At one time, the five countries were at war with another, vying for influence as well as competing for clients, as the Village Ninja are often contracted by outside clients for missions. That was years ago, however, and now a treaty has given the lands a tentative peace for the time being. In Konohagakure, three young Academy Cadets have just passed their exams and are to wear the headband of their village as full fledged junior ninja known as Genin. These three have, like others in their class, been placed in a team that is to be lead and mentored by an elite Jonin. But the path of a ninja is not an easy one, and any past differences of rivalries will have to be put aside if these rookies are to survive out in the real world.

As you can see, the plot is rather basic for the time being. The idea of the roleplay is to follow the careers of a Konoha Team consisting of 3 Genin and 1 Jonin. As such, I'm only looking for enough players to fill those slots. As I will obviously fill one of those slots (a Genin one) that means I'm looking for 2 Genin and the 1 Jonin. I know it's usually common practice to have a large cast of characters for RPs like this but I want to experiment with the idea of streamlining the Naruto concept into following the exploits of a single team. If it works out well enough, we'll do a Chunin Exam arc in which there will be opportunity to expand the cast, but for the start, I only want a single team. And I know that means they all have to be Konoha Ninja which means you're pretty restricted in terms of options, but I honestly think that such limits is a great way of exercising one's creative muscles. Another thing to note, I want this to be a somewhat long-term game, as in I fully expect time to pass throughout the RP and to even initiate time skips to demonstrate and put emphasis on character growth and focus. As such, you need to be prepared to be diligent in keeping your character profiles up to date with information such as personality changes incurred through IC events, and especially Jutsu and other techniques you'll be learning along the way.

That being said. Anyone interested in trying out this little experiment?

could i be a genin with the crystal or ice kekkei genkai? I already have one for the latter. If not I think I may have a few ideas otherwise like an Uchiha or Hyuga. I also have a few back-back up characters as well.

One question though is this canon in storyline like the Yuki and Kaguya and the Uchiha are nearly all extinct?

Or is this a non-canon line where those families still exist?

Completely AU. We're following basic rules like only certain types of ninja from certain villages (in other words no crystal or ice in Konoha) and the Uchiha are still mostly dead (although this time they were wiped out in the last war as opposed to a single asshole's emo trip). Other than that, it might be wise to not rely exclusively on your knowledge of the canon universe because the rules that would normally apply are subject to being changed or eliminated altogether if I so feel like it.

In other words, keep some of the canon universe rules in mind, but don't automatically assume they are concrete in THIS universe.

Alright then I'll make an Uchiha who was adopted by a family or a part of whatever remains of the clan. If that is not acceptable I'll make a Hyuga or something. Not really fond of the Hyuga but other ideas like the Dust Release, which has no specific family line, seems OP or not practical in combat. If I could though I'd mostly have him just make small throwable objects like Shurikens.

I figured I might mention it for the hell of it, though probably a bit late XD But It would be a little cool to have a team a little larger than the standard 4 man team, ya know, if someone were to appear with a serious need to join in or somethin XD But of course that's up to ya =P

Either way, so many choices of what to do with my character XD I'll be interested to see the CS =3


Oh, And as a Formality I tend to ask the sketchy questions just to make sure it's known =3 I noticed of course the mention of the 'rules of the world' changing maybe =3 but figured it best to ask anyway, what'll be the policy on certain K.G.? I'm sure some would still be considered stupidly OP for a kid to have, and some won't XD Also, on more 'out there' things like a Chakra beast or some other unusual detail in the character ^.^ [I figure should anyone attempt to involve themselves using something like a Chakra beast [or more commonly known as Tailed beasts in Naruto xD] They would immediately be under suspicion of trying to OP themselves XD But 'some' of us are capable of operating such a character without god modding every situation they get in =3 so figured It couldn't hurt to make sure.]

He already told me Shoryu that we are restricted to leaf village KG and techniques hence the reason I'm not a Yuki or whatever and Instead opted to go for a Uchiha without his sharingan yet. I think a Dust Release, Magnet Release, or Lava Release have multi family KG lines though. It is all up to him though.
