The Freelancer program is one of the many programs trying to create the 'magic bullet' to win the Great War. The program is designed to create a unit of exemplary soldiers, like the Spartans only less expensive. Hiring 50 members to participate all from the military. These members will all be given codenames after the remaining states in the USA. This unit of 50 will be split into smaller divisions, with the first unit being assigned a partner AI for each member. This program is largely experimental and we have experimented in copying several AIs from the original AI; Alpha. Since we were only given one AI. In order to give each soldier from an AI and cut cost of acquiring more, they repeatedly tortured Alpha until it was forced to separate itself into fragments in order to protect itself. These fragments are than converted into the current Freelancer AIs. Each AI has unique traits, as the fragment represented different parts of the human mind that Alpha is based on. For example, Epsilon being Alpha's memory, and Omega being its anger.

The project is overseen by the Director, with help by another high ranking member of the Freelancer Project, the Counselor.

Before entering live combat you will be hooked up with various armour enhancements and an extremely valuable AI. This AI is suited to you and will help you use your new abilities safely and efficiently. Teamwork is a must. Working together is crucial to completing your objective and scoring high in the leader boards. The leader boards track your personal progress throughout your mission.

There are a few rules that must be followed to the Letter!
AIs must not communicate with each other.
No contact to the outside is allowed via any mode of communication.
Use of live weapons or abilities unless inside a training zone is prohibited.
Obey any orders given to you by the Director or Counselor.


DISCLAIMER: 95% of the content on this thread was written by someone else. He closed his RP for reasons unbeknownst to me, so I've started this one for people who like the idea, but couldn't play it cause the original was closed.

Anywho, the RP is based off of Rooster Teeth Red Vs Blue webseries, and the Project Freelancer plot in particular. The bit of writing you just read or skipped pretty much summed it up.

Armor Abilities:

Super Strength - increase the users strength to super human levels allowing them to lift up to 5 tons

Super Speed - increases the user speed to super human levels allowing them to out run cars and trains with ease

Jump Pack - allows the user to jump higher and fall from greater distances with minimum damage as well as quickly change there direction either in mid air or on the ground.

Over Shield - gives the use another shield over their ordinary one this shield is twice as strong as the normal one.

Dome Shield - creates a Domed shield around the user made out of hexagons

Disruption Unit - Causes motion trackers to show random targets, causes thermal vision to show multiple target, causes most units to malfunction or work with less efficiency, as well as provide your punches with painful shocks.

Healing Unit - Speed up the recovery of the people around it does not grow back lost limbs just speeds up a person’s normal healing

Cloaking Unit - Bends light around the user making them nearly invisible

Hologram Unit- Creates an identical copy of the user that can move independently (warning holograms are sentient beings they have emotions can talk etc.)

Energy Shield Unit- a riot like shield that protects the front of the user, this shield i a lot stronger than the dome sheild Taken

Enhanced Motion Tracker Unit- Enhances motion trackers range as well as giving thermal vision and Sonar Vision

Camouflage Unit- Imitate other types of armour or other people including their voice
