In the year 2055, there was a cataclysmic event known as the "Impact Aura" event. A meteor crashed into earth without damaging anything, but sent out a large aura that affected all human life on the planet. birth rates declined drastically, with 1 in about 10 million pregnancy actually resulting in child birth. At first this was thought to be the end of humanity, but there was a light in the darkness. Each of the children born, around the age of 5, developed psychic abilities.

The Impact Aura event was speculated to be a helping hand from superior beings assisting humans in evolving into higher beings as well, weeding out the children that had no psychic potential and bringing out the psychic potential in those who had it. Basically, it was a selective genocide of the old humans.

Scientist nicknamed the new children the "LastGen" children, an idea that said with them, humanity would die out and a new race would form, so they were the last generation of "normal" human kind. To help develop these children in safe and helpful environments, they created special schools for them to go to. Since there are no more child births the number of students in classes are amazingly low. Only 600+ children were born, and they were gathered in their respective countries to be raised together to ensure that their DNA would be passed on.

So, the rp will focus on a school that houses 4 or 5 LastGen children, and it will center around their daily interactions, and those that have plots for the children.

Let me establish the base rules for this

1. Not first come first serve. I am taking a limited amount of people to keep the rp under control well, but I don't only want to take those who can churn out a CS faster. I will accept at most four people into the rp based on how much I like their CS.

2. There will be a post rotation so things don't get to crazy.

3. Try to post once every day or so. This is only gonna be a small group so we do need everyone to post at least once a day to keep the rp active.

4. Fairness, no god mod, auto hit, etc. This is standard stuff people.

5. Remember the post length, this is probably gonna be a high casual rp so around 3 paragraphs per post.

6. GM's word is final. If I say something, do it. It's just easier this way, I hate being tyrannical, but I'd rather do that and get stuff done than waste time arguing over stupid stuff.

7. Don't be a dick, this goes hand in hand with rule 6, just be nice to other people.

I tried to do this in casual and I'm deciding to retry it since my last one went down badly.

Here are some potential plot ideas and stuff to do for the rp.

1st. In your character sheets I'm going to ask for potential arc ideas centered around your character. These arcs will mot likely be only a few pages long and used in between the larger arcs as fillers while I plan out the arcs in more detail. Every character will get an arc centered around them that can be used to flesh out your character more, establish relationships, but mainly this is for everyone to get a feel of your character. During each of these character arcs, I will let whoever is the "main" character control it, since it is your personal story arc.

2nd. Obviously not all humans want the LastGen to be the only remaining kind, so there is an opposing faction simply known as the "Agency" that will cause some trouble for the students during the rp.

3rd. Of course, Aliens. Why else would a meteor have the ability to selectively wipe out beings, right? There will be interactions with the "progenitors" as they'll be identified for now. They have their purposes for doing what they did, and also have a plan for the LastGen children.

Name: Mitsuko Kanahara

Nickname: Mimi

Age: 12

Gender: Female

Appearance: Black hair that falls straight and is kept short. Big blue, almond shaped eyes that are almost unnaturally bright. Mimi is a gangly adolescent who is still trying to adjust to the growth spurt she most recently went though and as a result, often has scrapes or bruises on her. Due to her athletic nature, she always has on blue jeans and brightly colored t-shirts. She keeps her hair tied back in a miniature ponytail though it's always falling out.

Personality: Mimi was an outgoing child before the age of 5. She chattered at everyone and liked to meet strangers. Because of the low birth rate, she never had children to play with though, so she learned very early how to speak like an adult. She never likes to see anyone in pain, but that grew even more pronounced when she began to develop her ability. Literally taking on the pain of others has made her more reclusive, though she continues to try to be around people. Now she can stand to be around a small group without fleeing, but she doesn't handle crowds well at all.

Power: Empathy

Possible Personal Arcs: Hailing from Japan, which had one of the lowest birthrates in the world as of the 21st century, means that Mimi's birth was even more celebrated when she arrived. The phenomenon of the Impact Aura has catapulted the people of Japan back into their religious views and the few children born to Japan have been raised on a pedestal of this religion. Each is seen as the child of a God or Goddess and in this case, Mimi's unnatural ability to read people has associated her with Amaterasu and the divine lineage that once belonged only to the emperor's line. Mimi has been raised with the expectation of greatness along with the other psychics from Japan and so the move from Japanese controlled land to this special school was widely met with distate from the Japanese populous. Many do not believe that the education of these children should be taken from the hands of their homeland and placed in the hands of foreign scientists, especially since they do not believe the powers came from the impact, but rather were awoken by this gift from the gods. It is possible that there will be devout followers attempting to bring the god-chosen back home from the grips of the foreign scientists. There are also people who will attempt to worm their way into the school for the sole purpose of destroying the children of foreign gods so that none stand in the way of Japanese supremacy. As it is, there are even attempts to force the school to allow a bodyguard entail for Mimi and her companions so that other religious zealots do not get any ideas about her vulnerability at the school. Secretly, there are also people who fear Mimi will grow attached to the foreigners and not be willing to enter the arranged marriage she currently has with the other child born in Japan, Tatsuo Hyuuga, who is younger than her by four years. Other ideas include: branching out into Mimi learning to influence emotions instead of just feel them, Mimi convincing everyone to take self-defense classes with her for fun and safety, and Mimi convincing the other children to slip out of the school for a night out on the town [as it were].

Name: Rhiannon Donalds

Nickname: Rhian (pronounced like Ryan)

Age: 13

Gender: Female

Appearance: Half Chinese, half African American, she is short, but mostly legs and arms. Her torso is rather small in comparison. Dark, curly hair that is usually a mess, she keeps it constantly up in a pony tail or under a hat. Her eyes are dark brown, almost black and she has dimples when she smiles. She's supposed to wear glasses but rarely has them on her. Usually dressed in shorts and a t-shirt for easy running, as she is very athletic.

Personality: Tom boyish, domineering and constantly getting into trouble. Extremely charismatic due to her abilities and knowledge of what people want her to say and do before they can tell her. She does get carried away quite often and will get in trouble for using people's thoughts against them or talking about them outloud.

Possible Personal Arcs: Rhian is scared she's a lesbian, as after and before puberty she's really only noticed girls and wanted to get closer to them. Knowing how important reproduction is, this makes her ashamed of herself and constantly guarding her thoughts about fellow female classmates in case someone else with her same abilities finds out. Her parents passed away when she was very young, she has a large fortune waiting for her and a caregiver that gives her stipends and makes sure her financial needs are met. She's rather clingy to any parent-like figure in the school, especially the nurse as she is in there often for sports-related injuries.
