WAR OF FACTIONS: Chapter One: Legion

the world has been thrown into utter chaos.



fifteen years ago, our way of life collapsed, due to our economy failing, along with our governments crumbling due to this. there is still hope though, for there still remain a fraction of the world alive. they formed many factions, and warred for years. only a few remain.
what they don't realize, is that they aren't the only intelligent beings left on earth. a new form of being, named the " Legion" , an insect/android type faction from the dark side of the moon, was found ten years before civilization collapsed. they where kept in a top secret base, until the day civilization collapsed, and they broke free. they have the ability to fly, and dissolve any sentient being it touches. the only effective proven weapon is incendiary weapons, such as grenades and flamethrowers. they threaten all life on earth, and will stop at nothing to destroy all life on earth.

the only remaining human factions are the New Order, the Anarchists, The Feudal Empire, The Harbingers and the Ultimate Monarchy.


faction 1: The New Order
population: 800,000+
bio: this faction's main goal is to regain control over the planet and restore order to it's inhabitants. started aprox. 15 years after the collapse of civilization as we know it, they believe to achieve the once peaceful time period we live in now. they are a very determined force, and obey their laws. they get the job done, and done right, the first time. they are kind, caring, and enjoy freedom, to a limit.
government type: democracy
area:eastern side of north America, italy, northern part of Russia, and central America.
capital city: Washington D.C.



faction 2: The Anarchists
population: 900,100+
bio: a rather nasty group of people, the anarchists want nothing else than total anarchy everywhere. they were the first group formed after the collapse of civilization, and among the most dangerous. they will shoot at anything that moves, and kill anything within eyesight. they hate the other factions for their conformity to normal life, and would like to obliterate them all. they are the largest faction, other than the new order, but weaker than the other two. but what they lack in force, they make up for in numbers.

area: western part of North America and northern part of south America.
capital city: Los Angeles.

faction 3: The Ultimate Monarchy
population:500,000+
bio: the smallest of the main three factions, what it lacks in numbers, it brings in force. its main goal is to restore the monarchy long lost before the times of the non-monarchial governments, as they believe that " the reason that civilization fell, was because of the governments. if their had been monarchies instead, civilization would not have collapsed due to the governments being weak, and not being able to keep up with the economy, and their debts. " it would be best to keep away from this faction, if you were one of the other faction's members.
area: europe and spain.

faction 4: The Feudal Empire

population: 750,000+
bio: this is the remainder of what used to be the empire of japan, along with china and asia.
their "purpose" is to restore the power of feudal china and japan, when they were at their peak.
they are powerful, but small in numbers. they also believe that they are to do anything to accomplish this. they also believe in tacticssuch as self suicide to take out their targets through explosives or some other form of weapon that will get the job done. this is a last resort.

faction 5: the Harbingers
population: 650,500
bio: not much is known about this mysterious group, other than the fact they don't use conventional weapons, rather , they use implants that create the ability to use telekinesis to levitate or manipulate things to their will. they are constantly at war with the legion, in which causes the legion to focus on them more than the other factions.
their purpose was to bring about the new age of technology, but then civilization collapsed, causing them to search for another purpose, which lead to their wanting to eradicate the legion.
area: Australia, Alaska(not considered part of north America), Switzerland, Sweden, and parts of what used to be Canada.

The Legion

info on the legion: they like dark places, and only come out at night. very vulnerable in sunlight.
types of legion:

drone:

abilities: flying, projectile shooting (from their "stingers").
weaknesses: flamethrowers and launching weapons. moves in groups of 5-10.


destroyer:

abilities: dissolving, swarming. moves in large groups of 10-100.
weaknesses:incendiary weapons and grenades.

queen:

abilities: controls the legion, and is the size of a Megladon(ancient shark type, though they aren't related, they are of the same size. all other legion are normal bug size.)
weakness: it's eyes. take those out, and it is defenseless. this will be the final boss of this rp, so it WILL NOT BE KNOWN AT THE BEGINNING. it's tentacles can piecre through everything except tungsten steel and titanium at least 6 inches thick.

Personality: The hardline military leader, he is dedicated with service to the point of obsession. He is a man of few words, and being eloquent is not among his fortes. He enjoys planning, but relishes surprises as a chance to prove his military capability.
Bio: Nikita was for a long time a part of the Russian mafia. In his time under them he picked up many skills. However as he saw the world crumble around him he realised that being a gangster was getting nobody anywhere, he began to hate himself for his time with them and sought a new beginning. Nikita took advantage of the crisis to start again, changing his name and re-enlisting in the military with a burning conviction to excel.

FN 57 handgun - Issued to him by the army, it is his standard weapon and he uses it to deal with most enemies.

Heckler and Koch HK XM25 IAWS - Nikita's pride and joy, stolen from the U.S. military during his time in the mob this weapon is a godsend for destroying legion.

Melee:
2 Answer 3.25 Combat Blades - can be used for anything from self defense to skinning, he is relatively good with it but prefers unarmed melee when facing human opponents.
