Hello. Men, women--those of interest.

This is my request for a long-term one on one partner. My name is Trevor.

CAREFULLY CONTEMPLATE PROCEEDINGS ==>

Our story will begin in China. It is the year 2440 A.D., and the concept of regions and freedom have been long dead. There are only countries now--and, within them, sectors separated into grids that are labeled with a number-letter pattern. Governments have total control over their people and it is very rare for somebody to leave their sector even a single time during their life unless on job duties or otherwise. Births and birthrates are controlled; D.N.A. is modified and carefully monitored during the stages of woman's pregnancy to produce desired results. Currency and monetary purchases are relics of the past. Everything is controlled by the political hierarchy of the countries, which means all food and possessions are distributed systematically. In short, humans are tools used to carve out a bleak existence for the next generation; and, the one after them, and then the one after that. A never-ending cycle of hopelessness.

Well. It should be. Should.

But let's not get ahead of ourselves. You must be curious--how do people keep their sanity? How do we go on? The answer is: networking. Every man, woman, and child all around the world are allowed access to computers for 2 things. One, to chat. All chats are heavily moderated, but they are permitted nonetheless, as the benefits of allowing free communication were concluded to far outweigh the risks. Second is to draw. Yes, draw! As trivial as it may seem, these everyday laborers and children make their way through the grayness of life by drawing and sharing their pictures. Maps have been made this way, as well as beautiful artistic renderings of space and fantasized versions of Earth. Together, these two things have given people enough false hope to continue on, and most--if not all--have established or are establishing a network of friendships around the globe.

Though there have been no hiccups in this literally perfect system of governmental control for centuries, our story will follow the planetary chain of reaction at a personal level of two teenage human beings. You see, there is a single thing that was never accounted for in the political schemes. It was not rebellions, nor was it any sort of population-related occurence. Even Earth-related! No, no, the colony on the moon was never accounted for. Established during the platinum era in 2132 A.D., a small, self-sustaining colony has ever since lived isolated from its gravitational partner. Sure, their lives haven't been too awfully wondrous. Besides carefully managing resources and population, they've had little to do but create art, read, and exercise. That is the difference between the moon people and the Earth people, though. The moon people were free and they had access to legitimate records of the past. They knew of the world's people when there was still change. They knew of heroes, of villains, and of grandeur civilizations.

What could they have possibly done with this knowledge? After all, they're on the moon, aren't they? ---- They are for the very beginning of our story.

Our characters will find life from our fingertips beginning just prior to the great happening that will be labeled by all the peoples of the world as "The Descent of the Royals." This happening is, quite simply, the crashing of an enormous spacecraft into the middle of the Chinese country. Those sent along with the spacecraft will be mature, talented men and woman who are capable of bringing a new era to the world. They can't do it alone however. They will need support. Uprisings. Governments to be overthrown and wars to be fought with volunteers.

They will have those things.

But--where, will you and I be?

Our story begins in China, with a young man and his friend, right before the world changes.

Interested? Up for a shot at this? It will be of advanced quality, but I will be innovative. IM text logs, classic large forum-posts, and back-and-forth posting will all be involved, each contributing to sections of the story where they are most suited. You will be completely free in the creation of your character on one of two terms.

1. Your character knows mine prior to the beginning of the story.
2. Your character messages or encounters after the first posts of our the story.

That's it! Other than that, all you have to do is discuss what you're envisioning with me. Note that this a futuristic, intense story that will be completely based around our two characters, rather than around control of large groups of people or nations. I will gladly welcome suggestions and incorporate them into our RP as it goes along. But, let's stick with what we've got here for now.
