The World isn't just an online game... (Genkai + Phantom Sekai) OOC

Alright so we have at least these things hammered out, we're in the R:1 version, in a beta test. (Probably working up into canon game events) We might double which will allow two characters to remain trapped in The World, while two outside hackers try to figure things out. We will use online and offline events in equal amount. And we will incorporate current events and our character will probably in their early to late twenties. I think that's all thus far...unless I missed something. Did we figure out a level or range for posting amount and frequency?

We never decided level amount or frequency yet or a few other things as well.

I'd say for amount and frequency, we give a minimum of 3 full paragraphs (around 6 lines each) 1 per day to keep the rp active at at a high casual low advance level minimum.

You're right about working into canon game events like fighting the 8 phases, the non monster areas becoming infected, and cubia.

I think for hacking things, we should have it be a link event through our characters, like one person can't do a proper hacking event without the other, so maybe a twilight bracelet fragmented between the two players.

Gender and romance roles, this is the one thing we haven't touched yet. Will our characters have a romance, and if so what gender pairings? I play both genders and have no preference for romance so whatever suits you is fine if we even do romance.

I think for level range, the beta should have us playing at say...25, and then when the actual game starts maybe for the trouble we start at like level 5 as opposed to 1.

A minimum of 3 full paras is fine me though as by that, it translates to around six since we're doubling. I don't think I could split two characters with anything less than two or three each myself. I do understand our offline characters and online ones may be interacting as four friends less often than with the pairs themselves, but I still like to keep everyone on the same page. I mean when Bear was offline, Tsukasa was still doing things, right? Does that make sense?

When we get established, we can introduce some of the game events to add to more speculation. I mean the gang couldn't be the only ones trying to fix the issue right?

Yes, a link system is something I had in mind too. A "bracelet" or necklace shared would be fine with me. We could say they both constructed it themselves or perhaps someone left it as a gift? If we ever want to tie in Helba to the RP...because she's badass.

I tend to lean towards some romance, not the focus, but since this is a "group" I would expect some sparks to possibly fly from at least one or two people. I double as both genders too so we would just have to figure out which gender role we want for those trapped in the game (should we make them coma? I feel like we kind of have to and if so we need to figure out how) and those we want doing the hefty offline investigating. I'm fine with my male being the investigator and my female being in the game.

So you're saying we could have had the beta for a while and got to 25? Or that we were started there? And once the glitch occurs, we'd be bumped down to 5? Should perhaps those in the "coma" be up'ed to a certain level rather than bumped back down? Just an interesting way for the glitch to go I think. Maybe it wants to treat those in a coma like a strong enemy to be beaten by player? I dunno, just an idea.

As for classes, I tend to go for: Wavemaster, Heavy Blade, Twin Blade...I could be swayed to try Blademaster.

2. Yes I think having helba would make it a little more fun XD

3. That pairing sounds fine to me, so my investigator will be female and my player be male.

4. I'm saying as beta testers, they'd be given characters of level 25, and then as an apology once the game is live they get a free level 5 character as an apology.

I don't know if I feel comfortable with using special classes that don't exist within R:1 but if it's for your male, then I'd be more okay with it, then my female could probably be an archer and the two "comas" would perhaps be given a glitch-like character while our safer pair has the typical class set to pick from, which then I would probably make my male a Wavemaster or Twin Blade.

Wait, I'm getting confused by the pairings.

I thought one set was characters playing the game, and the other were taking the role of outside forces, not actually being involved in playing but being an outside influence separately.

Sure, I'm probably done for tonight though so you won't see anything til mid tomorrow at best. I also have to try and get people into my advance int check I put up called LastGen, which I mistyped as LastGEn so people may not even give it a shot cause of my grammatical fuck ups and then I also need to make an IC for another 1x1 mech rp I'm working on.
