    I heard the announcers wrong at first. I thought they were saying the Sandy Hook choir was singing the anthem, but instead they were singing America the Beautiful. That was still rather surprising. Part of the surprise is that they actually sang the song as it was originally composed, instead of using it to show off vocal ranges or something like that.
