As he listened to Ixia's mother talk about this party tonight, he finished his stake as he paid her attention. At first, his eyes would occasionally flick to Ixia's father, but by the time the conversation about the party was winding down, the King of Vampires had fallen out of importance. Dessert was served, although after getting caught up with Ixia just moments ago, it was hardly the dessert he wanted. Still, Titus had a bit of a sweet tooth and would not turn down a piece of good cake.
"Would you like anything sweet to eat?" Ixia asked him, so warm and kindly that anyone would think she'd not just given him a magical slap.
Titus smiled as he looked into her eyes. "I would," he replied, innocently enough, though he couldn't help but wonder if he sounded like he was resuming their flirting game. It was hard not to think of such things when he was looking into those green eyes. But it didn't matter, he suspected. She'd enjoyed his antics, he was sure. As long as he didn't go too far, he would likely be fine. But how far is too far...? he thought. When mommy and daddy aren't around.
Sampling his cake, he raised his chin and savored the flavours, paying Ixia and her parents compliments to their choice of chef and declaring that he'd never had better cake.
