Lauren was in her lab, well, the Ash's lab to be more specific. It was crazy to think that Hale was elected the head of the light Fae, and the blonde doctor, although very happy for the former detective, still couldn't wrap her head around it. She had been tricked to serve the light for the rest of her life, however, Hale being her friend, wouldn't treat the human in an oppressive manner like the former rulers did. At least, she hoped. If the past is a good indicative of the future, then she has nothing to worry about. Even if things get hairy, Bo would always have her back.
The thought of the brunette brought a smile to her lips, as she examined micro-organisms multiplying under the powerful lenses of her microscope. Dr. Lewis was currently trying to create a solution which could regenerate cells fast enough in order to quickly heal someone. This type of liquid solution had never been successfully created before, yet Lauren kept her hopes up. Determination and motivation wasn't something she lacked. Not to mention, the solution would greatly be of use to Bo, and the others.
The blonde doctor glanced at her watch, and as on queue, her stomach grumbled. Lunch time. She picked up her file, reading it over as she crossed the long halls to finally reach her apartment. She didn't notice the door was open as she walked right in, mumbling under her breath, her eyes still glued to the file in her hand: "If I Isolate the formation of white blood cells in order to increase tissue regeneration in..." Lauren frowned, staring behind her at the open door. I didn't open it, did I? She turned her gaze in front of her once again, noticing the beautiful brunette. The simple action of looking at the woman for the first time exponentially increased her heart beat. Which is a very interesting fact, if you think about it. Staring at a person whom you love fills your brain with dopamine, thus increasing blood flow and resulting in a quickened heart rate. Much like physical activity does.
"Bo," She greeted with a smile, closing the blue file in her hands, and laying it on the table near the staircase. "When did you get here? I hope you didn't have to wait too long." Lauren slipped both of her hands in the deep pockets of her lab coat as she slowly approached the woman in question.
