Gabriel just kinda watched as people started talking to him, a smile on his face all the while, seeming a bit detached for a reason he wasn't about to tell. He just kinda smiled and nodded his head at those who spoke, up until a certain lady finally made her dues. A wider grin flew open on his face, flashing teeth as his tongue rolled around in his mouth for a second as if he were about to launch into a speech worthy of his best friend/bro Mike. "Irene... Nobody expects you to be strong enough to watch your little brother sleep for days on in... I was laying still the entire time right? Cause I sure as heck hope I wasn't sleep-talking." he poked out his tongue on the last part and held out his arms for a hug, a warm expression seemed to be emblazoned on his face through everything since he woke up, he probably couldn't remove it if he tried. When Irene would come in for the hug he winked at Jessica in mock gloating.
He was slightly startled though when Taryn came barging in out of nowhere and started jib-jabbering like Mike with a speech impediment. Not that it was necessarily bad, but he could never understand people when they talked THAT FAST, and loud. He kinda smiled along with her and jumped when she parked her painting, rather hurriedly, at the footrest of his bed. Of all things she had to draw THAT. THAT tore the smile off of his face in a second, not that he didn't like it, but a voice jumped in his head and set off like a bomb, resounding through his skull. You all will die, but it'll be for the better. A cold chill shocked his spine and seemed to burn every vertebrae, there was a shipload of power in whatever just spoke to him, he was kinda scared. But nevertheless he tore open a grin again withing seconds of it happening to try and mask the shiver he just underwent.
"I-...Thanks...Taryn?" He spoke, a little unsure, he hadn't seen this girl much, but knew enough about her to call her friend, as well as video chatting from even before he went to "sleep." He would have went on to compliment the skill in the painting but she spoke overtop of his silent mouth, which was weird considering he was the most prominent person in the room by virtue of the situation. The word pray seemed to strike another chord. The first of you will die tonight. He stared ahead at Taryn with a smile still on his face; the twitch that passed through his expression just now was probably only noticed by one person. "That sounds wonderful! I haven't did that in years!" he giggled, not meaning to sound a bit vulgar considering the situation. "We're gonna need it real soon too."
This is a perfect example of why I set this RP up the way I did. We all have lives, and sometimes those lives keep us away for a week. It's hard for some people to jump back into a roleplay after a week on hiatus, with all the different posts that went on between then. Plus, remember when I said we'd operate this Roleplay on the minimum advanced rules? it's so when you get back, and are a bit writer blocked, you don't need to write as much :P I may have wrote to little here still.
