I am the GM of a recurring science fiction universe in which many RPs have taken place and will continue to do so. I find this universe quite fascinating, as it gains depth and complexity with each new author that contributes.

I would like more people to contribute to the depth and diversity of this galaxy, a setting not centered on humans because they lack interstellar space travel, but rather on the various alien races that inhabit the Galaxy and have already begun establishing their own empires.

I have a few things I ask for, but for the most part, I am rather accepting of various ideas, though some may have to be modified to suit the setting.

The main guidelines I'd like people to follow:
1. No magic. This is science fiction, not fantasy, therefore no spells, spell-like abilities, or magical abilities that cannot be explained through science. This includes psychics (which are simply wizards by another name) and X-men style superpowers (which are the same)

2. Unless you can come up with a really good explanation (such as alien abduction), no Earth-humans. This shouldn't be a problem as human-like aliens are perfectly acceptable. Make them exactly like humans, but call them something else, and it's fine.

3. Most sci fi technologies are acceptable, but anything that I perceive as being too advanced or unexplainable may have to be modified. No teleporters or planet-killer weapons, etc.

I'd like people to try and post at least once a day, if possible, and encourage character interaction, which I find to be one of the best ways to keep a RP active.

That said, I would like to introduce my RPs.

Corsair is the story about the crew of a civilian-owned privateer vessel, which takes on various odd jobs such as bounty hunting, recovery of exotic artifacts, and virtually anything that pays well and doesn't violate too many laws. While already underway, it has slowed down a bit lately and could use more characters to pick up the pace and activity.

The Imperial Academy is an academy RP... in SPAAACE in which the students will take on the jobs of officers on a training ship, such as in the newest Star Trek movie. It has not yet started yet, and requires a few more characters before it can really take off.

Space Pioneer is the story of a contract exploratory vessel, charting uncharted worlds and discovering previously-undiscovered civilizations and aliens. It is just getting started, so a perfect time to join.

Feel free to join as many of the aforementioned RPs as you like, and I'm willing to start new ones with different plots if there's enough interest. I can run a decent Nation RP, but I regulate them a lot more than I do the casual adventure types and apply a fairly realistic sense of scale to them (20,000 lightyear cube = around 2 billion star systems, for example).
