Maverick halted her song as she watched a strange man with golden eyes and a forked tongue. Her curiosity peaked, she halted her song, found an appropriate hole and stepped through. Landing next to the pair, she selected her higher set of vocal chords and addressed the pair. "Why hello there, might you be able to tell me where we are?" She stroked the child in her arms as it cooed. The pair were intriguing and she smiled at them, revealing her sharpened teeth. "Is there anyway you two could help me out?"

The woman whose child she had taken came over, ranting at her in some unfamiliar dialect. Maverick glared, her orange eyes backed up by her teeth baring down on the woman. Her rants began to falter as Maverick's tail whipped up behind her. Backing away, Maverick handed the child back to the mother as she receded before hissing in her direction. Turning back to the pair, she put on a coy smile, as sweet as she could manage.

Crowley stared at the policeman, identifying him to be Asian. But that wasn't strange or anything. What was strange was the fact he had followed Crowley and was now asking if serpent men were normal. "Serpent men don't exist," he replied coolly. Alright, so this was either a really stupid human or not a human at all. Demon was out, as well as angel. So, what was he? Checking to make sure the area around was them secure, Crowley paused then tilted his head forward, revealing his eyes again. Before he could state his name, a strange creature suddenly appeared near them. A dinosaur? Crowley's eyes widened slightly as he took a step back. No, not a dinosaur. More like a human-dinosaur. A very confused one holding a child but it seemed nice. Nice and idiotic considering it had been walking around on the street like a normal person. That was how you got shot. Even angels had the common sense to hide their wings most of the time.
"I don't need this," he whispered, turning away quickly. He didn't want any attention drawn to him. That was why he took a human form and didn't just flash his wings around all care free. Walking out of the alleyway with his head down, he adjusted his glases then hurried down the street away from the weirdo dinosaur and the not-quite-policeman. Now that he thought about it, it was probably the antichrist messing with things. Kids loved dinosaurs so he probably tried to summon one and messed up a bit.

"Hello 249. I see you've awakened, along with your sister 230. Of course...you probably won't remember this for long. Hell, you are nothing more than a dog of war now. Still...I'd like to tell you your goal in person. Just like the others I've seen today."

"249, you have...volunteered...to serve us. I actually wish I was lying about that. I mean...most of our hunters we pick up from the streets. You though...you willingly gave yourself to this mission. A simple one, to be honest. All you have to do...is kill Kain. Got it?"

Jona's visor activated, revealing a cloud covered sky above him. Even though nowadays his vision was tinted with a dark shade of red, he had learned to tell which colors were which over time. Two years of time to be exact. Still...this knowledge let him know the clouds were a dark gray, and they covered the sky like a thick blanket. "Rain." Rain, that was what was about to come down. Jona could easily get up off of his back and find shelter, but the ground felt soft and formed around his back like a comfortable bedding. Unnatural for what should have been dirt, but this was what the mush he was lying in was nowadays. No doubt he was picking up some form of sickness simply by lying down...but it was still soft. Enough so, that the danger of rain wasn't very threatening.

Jona then felt himself sink further down into the earth. Now, he really should get up and leave. Though...the soft ground was starting to cover his lower body in a form of blanket. His face as well, but that wasn't so bad. He barely needed to breath, so being swallowed completely by this wet ground wasn't a short-term threat. Long term? Yes. Deciding he should leave now, Jona slowly raised himself to a sitting position. As he did, the dirt sluggishly slid off of his torso, his legs still sunken into the ground.

"Hungry." Upon that single word, Jona expected to feel his stomach rumble lightly. Only...for him to remember it was replaced. Most likely by something that helped him more than the original organ in some way. Still...it didn't feel... "Right."

The world then began to glaze over in a bright purple...or rather dark red to Jona's eye. Still, this sudden occurrence frightened Jona. Was it some form of weapon? Was he being attacked? Was it...Kain...? "No." Jona twisted his head to look down at the ground he was sitting in, to see what looked like a tear in space. Within, it showed nothing. Curiosity growing, Jona simply reached for the rift...

And in a flash, he was flying through the air. Buildings of metal and concrete flew up past him, whilst a wall of more concrete and stone flew straight at him. At this moment, Jona realized he was not flying, but actually falling. With that in mind, he pushed his legs downward, to let them take the impact of the landing. In a few seconds, he felt stabbing pain fly up his legs...only for said pain to be drowned out by painkillers administered into his bloodstream. Looking down, Jona noticed he had landed in some furry thing, filled with a form of liquid that was spilling out. From the sound of crying from a human child near him, Jona wondered if the creature meant anything important.

Letting Destiny control your life is like giving up your free will. You have no real choice in your life, only a set path forced upon you. Some Destinies put you on a path of good, while others put you on a path of evil. However, Destiny forces you onto those paths sometimes, making you give up many things that define you. Destiny is in truth, a double edged sword. It cuts you just as deeply as it cuts into the paths of others.

Never let Destiny guide you. It may cause more harm to who you are than you think.

Maverick growled at Crowley as he left. She whipped her tail out to stop the man from leaving.

"You are not like these other creatures. Where are we? You seem to know the most of this town should you know how to blend in so well with eyes and a tongue like yours." Her vocal chords grated against each other with nervousness as she did her best to not aggravate the creature in front of her. "I am Maverick, student of the Headmaster Vashou from the planet Letarish." She held her palms together and gave a quick bow to Crowley and Guan Yu.

Crowley stopped short when a reptilian tail blocked his path. Glancing back over his shoulder, he stared at the dinosaur girl and frowned. He could understand her well enough but he could see the nervousness in her eyes and reflected on her face. For something obviously not human, he could read her like a book. "Welcome to Earth," he replied with a small hiss, adjusting his glasses to make sure they covered his eyes completely. Not bothering to return the bow, he moved the tail away from his body and stared at her and crossed his arms over his chest. "There isn't much you could do to blend in like that," he added, motioning to her tail. "Normally, I'd make you forget immediately about me and go mind my own business but you're not a human so I don't have anything to worry about, really. If I were you, I would get out of New York City and try to fly back to whatever planet you mentioned. Not that it will matter since the world is going to end soon but hey, why not? It'd be better than getting shot at by anxious humans. Either way, conversing with you is drawing attention to me so I'm going to leave now. If you try to stop me again, I'll tear your tail off." He turned away and started walking away from the two again. An alien dinosaur? Of course. The next thing to show up would probably be a cowboy mixed with a robot. Pulling out his phone, he stared at it then sighed and replaced it. He had to go solo from now on. But he was still concerned as to why he couldn't feel any angels or demons around. It was as if there weren't any at all.

Looking at the crying child, Jona noticed something odd about his thoughts. Instead of being connected to his worlds network at all times, he was instead attached to some crude version of it. Instead of being able to look up information on people quickly, he had to take around a thousand different paths just for the smallest bit of information. This was a problem, and Jona didn't enjoy these problems much.

Now several people were staring at him. Why would they though? There wasn't anything wrong with him, right? With a second glance at everyone, Jona realized one thing he had that was different from them... They didn't have any cybernetic parts! No doubt he was among primitive beings, who merely resembled his former race. Still, from how the few people in blue clothing were looking at him, it would probably be a good idea to run.

Spinning on the balls of his feet, the hunter ran down the stretch of squared concrete. On the patch of black stone, with several vehicles simply laying still upon it, the hunter leaped up...and over the road. On the other side, he took a quick turn to the left, not paying much attention to the group of odd individuals nearby. He had his own problems, and other peoples problems didn't matter.

Maverick huffed, frustration flickering through her as she began jumping away. Her jumps were even with so many holes to go through, the people seemed never to cease their movement around here and she moved with the grace her people had been taught, near but invisible to the naked eye unless she were to stop for a moment. Her breath came with little hiccups as the pressure created air bubbles traveling through her doubled vocal chords. She moved off into the country, her feet only resting as she touched solid earth once more.

Immediately within sight came another buck, his antlers high above his head. Smiling to herself, Maverick stalked forward.

"Too good to be true." She murmured to herself when a gunshot went off and the animal collapsed in a spray of blood.

"I got him Phil! Those antlers will look nice mounted over my chair don't you think?" Two men brambled through the forest, raising brackish noise that scared all the creatures away. It was no wonder they could stand so long to have been able to shoot the deer. As they moved towards the buck, rage took Maverick and she darted forward her footsteps silent over the forest floor.

With a hiss she landed in front of the men. "Come closer prey." and her teeth barred, Maverick thrust her tail forward and beat them back. Both smashed to the ground, unconscious for the moment. Starving, Maverick tore into the deer with ravenous lust before cleaning herself properly. It would seem as not she was stuck until she could find the jump she had taken home. With naught better to do she set back off for the city, aiming for the rooftops where so few went and the world could be her vantage point. It seemed the only logical place left.

Noticing Crowley from a distance, Guan Yu decided he'd try to continue to get answers, but to be as polite as he could at the moment. He noticed the demon was confused, and he would try to ask him why he was confused. He walked up somewhat far behind Crowley. "Excuse me, lizard man." Guan Yu said politely. "Perhaps you can tell me why you look confused?"

The thing that separated the Night Fury from other dragons was that there was only one of him, or at least as far as he was aware. Therefore, while other dragons had been given basic names to identify themselves, he had just been called Night Fury. No one was really sure where he came from, not even himself. But humans declared that he was the offspring of the lightning and the Devil so that was the story he went with. As for his name, he just went with Night Fury. It had a nice ring to it.
Turning his gaze down, he stared at the human village below. The raid would start soon, as soon as the other dragons caught up to him. Well, perhaps he could start it himself. Folding his wings up, he made a shrill noise as he plunged downwards. Moments before he would lift his wings and attack with explosive fire, the world suddenly changed and night changed to day. Startled, he fanned his black wings out as he fell towards a large structure, much larger than any he had ever seen. Flapping his wings to slow himself, he grunted as he smashed into the large silver structure, his feet scrambling and quickly catching hold of the side of the building. Below him, there were thousands of humans staring. Not running or waving weapons, just staring.
"Look mommy, it's Toothless!" a small child yelled, pointing up at him. Toothless? Him? He was a Night Fury! Dropping down to the ground, he snarled loudly then turned when a monstrous creature made of metal roared down a strip of black rock and tried to attack him. Rising up, he growled then jumped on top of the creature and began tearing at it as the people surrounding screamed and ran away. What sort of creature was this? It was made of metal like human weapons but no creature he knew of was made of weapons. He continued to tear at the metal beast then suddenly took off into the air, leaving the car with giant slash marks in it. Where was he? The giant structures resembled rocks but had humans inside. He could see their faces inside. But humans had never made structures so tall! They were monstrous in size! Flying up to the top of one, he landed on it and looked around in confusion. What was going on? Suddenly it was day time and there were more humans around than he had seen in his entire life. The entire scenery had changed and he couldn't see a single tree or even the ocean.

Crowley sighed and turned around. Well, at least it wasn't the dinosaur. At least this man knew a bit more about blending in. "Look," he said, tilting his head forward so his eye could be seen. "I'm not a lizard man. I'm a demon. As in a demon from Hell, that sort of thing. As for why I'm confused, I can't seem to locate someone and I'm worried... confused about where they might have gone."

Dead was jumping and running thorugh the crowded streets of New York as he bolted heading to Central Park. Climbing one final building he began to search from the focal point hoping to find the men he heard the rumor about. "Where are you?..." he whispered under his breath hopping to find the two mysterious men his duster coat flapping in the wind like a cape as he continued to search before he saw people fleeing in terror and seeing a number of trees fall. "Found you" the Craftsman whispered as he jumped off the building heading for the source.
James Heller growled as he tossed the man in the red coat into the trees. Just a few hours ago he was chasing down a lead on the man responsible for the Outbreak in the city Alex Mercer. Only to run into a bright light by accident when he woke he was shocked perhaps frightened when he saw New York standing as it did before. No reference of the Outbreak was present no one heard a thing when he attempted to consume a scinetist to find out this white haired man wiedling two semi auto handguns and a Claymore jumped him. Summoning forth his Claws from his biomass he charged ready to kill his attacker thinking he worked for Mercer.
