.Hack//Replica [a short summary]
After the events of R:1 and R:2, a programmer decided to create a hybrid which brought both versions together so players could have the best of both Worlds.
The programmer which works under the alias: Nelwa, brought together various root towns, tools, player classes and events for players to partake in from R:1 and R:2.
The programmer sold the game outside of CC.Corp at a very cheap price which made some people question it's validity but still, when it gained over one million users, people began to buy it worldwide and it started to push into people's real lives much like the older games used to. Thanks to many virtual reality devices, people could ride the train or go to school all while staying connected to their favorite PC games. Nelwa acts as high ruling admin to the game which poses a threat to any new titles CC.Corp may want to release, due to the issues and lawsuits in the past, tied to CC.Corp, many people found themselves putting their faith in a new programmer who actually listened to the players and kept things fair without any shady secrets.
Nelwa's game has been out for a year and to celebrate it's one year anniversary, the legendary hacker, programmer and admin of the game (entitled Our World) has put out a bulletin asking for moderators to step up and help run the game. Nelwa has made it clear that you can be a moderator for a year before being replaced. Players may or may not know if someone is a moderator or not. It's up to the moderators to keep their identity a secret or not. No one knows who the old moderators were at the start of the Our World's release but the final candidates for the positions are about to find out.
Much like CC.Corp found, running a large worldwide game isn't easy and some issues had to be pushed aside in order to keep people calm and happy.
What would you sacrifice for the greater good?
Will you one day be trapped inside Our World like The World had done? Would comas present themselves in helpless players' offline conditions?
Are there glitches and bugs already around? Are hackers spreading viruses? To be a moderator of Our World will take strength and understanding, both of which will be tested relentlessly.

A few GM notes:
Yes this is based off of the .Hack franchise. Yes, knowledge of both versions is preferred but not necessary. You'll probably enjoy it more but if you think you'll still get by, it's fine by me but I won't go the basics because I assume you have proficient knowledge to keep you satiated, if you need to Google something, do it. If after that, you're unsure and need a GM's final word, then come to me.
This will be offline and online oriented much like Liminality was to the first four games.
Player classes will be given in the OOC, don't expect to have the crappy cheap multitude of classes Haseo got in R:2, that just killed the game and eliminated interesting challenges.
We may deal with the Phases so at least know about that and the Epitaph of Twilight.
There will be fighting and our party limit will be more than the usual three.
Our characters must be in their mid to late 20s for this, nothing under 23 will be allowed, so if you're about play an orphan genius who is only 12 years old, please leave.
Your characters will be around level 50, should be proficient in some hacking or programming but should not abuse their skills by any means. You think an admin would hire a fishy person with an unreliable background? Noooope.
In the game itself, once appointed a mod, your character will get a hacking tool much like the bracelet or avatar in R:1 and R:2 respectively.
If you're interested, post here and maybe I'll make an OOC. If this turns out to be a small group, fine, if I can only do a 1x1 with someone, also fine but I'd like at least 2 or 3 people with sufficient knowledge and maturity before an OOC is made.

How many people were you taking in this RP?
No more than six characters (I plan on doubling) so it leaves 4 spots (if no one else doubles but if they do, it does up their chances of being accepted since it means more characters but less members to wait on). But it's not a first come, first serve thing, I'll probably give people a few days to submit a sheet and then I'll pick a well rounded group from that.
As a note, I'd like to hear what R:1 and R:2 music/locations/classes you'd like to see or not see. I'll have final say of course but if the majority doesn't like x, then there's no point in putting x in if it's going to deter people away so I'm making the OOC but I'd like to hear from those intending on submitting a CS.
