Lets brainstorm an idea

Who wants to brainstorm an original idea? I think if a few people came together and came up with an idea for a rp as a team, they'd be more invested in it from the get go, and the rp would take off much quicker. By coming up with a setting together, we can have ideas for characters bounced around at the beginning and come up with ways that they already know each other, so we wouldn't have to go through the awkward greeting phase that so many rp's die in.

Everyone should choose a theme and try to make it as different to everyone else's as possible then we can fit them all together into one story.

That sounds like a cool idea. I have a theme in mind actually.

It's a fantasy world, but it has all original races. 8 in all. Each one is at a different point of industrialisation based on how much magic influences their lives.

Try and think a little less vivid. You said you want everyone to create something together, not just expand on your idea.

True. I was mainly proposing the idea of industrialisation vs magic.

Theme 2: Impending unstoppable apocalypse.

I dig that. A combination of those could be how different nations/factions try and solve the problem of such an apocalypse. Though it'd be nice to get more themes.

Their solution is to rewind time, The main characters are stuck in a loop attempting to stop the apocalypse but never succeeding.

Maybe someone will read this, think of a new theme and join us.
