Before Jeremiah became Wildcat, he could be described as a timid soul. He was very naive and let people get the best of him. He was a perfect target for bullying. After being revived, his personality did a complete 180. His feline attributes gave him a sense of independence and spunk. He is very witty, sarcastic, and blunt. He doesn't take crap from anybody and he does what he pleases. His personality resembles a cat: Carefree and living life the way he wants. He can be very playful and flirty, but knows when to take things seriously.

Ability:
The Mai Genome- The Mai Genome grants Wildcat with several feline physical attributes. Wildcat's five senses are enhanced, especially his vision allowing him to see in the dark (His eyes turn cat-like when using night vision or if angry). His feline attributes also give him supernatural reflexes, agility, speed, strength, and speed. His feline agility allows him to jump far distances and land on his feet like a cat. His mannerisms also resemble a cat, having an aversion to dogs, hissing when he's angry, eating fish, etc. His feline attributes also gives him an enhanced healing factor and resistance to poisons. At will, Wildcat can grow his finger nails to make sharp claws used for offensive purposes and to scale walls. The Mai Genome allows Wildcat to resurrect only 9 times after death. (Nine Lives)
Telepathic Resistance- An extension to the Mai Genome allows Wildcat to be resistant to telepathic abilities.
Feline Empathy- An extension to the Mai Genome allows Wildcat to read the emotions of cats, allowing him to understand them.
Equipment:
Wildcat is proficient in the hand-to-hand combat style Capoeria (Brazilian Dance Fighting) which actually was a skill acquired from the genome. Wildcat is a skilled Marksmen thanks to his feline senses, allowing him to be proficient with a nine foot bull whip which he keeps on his belt loop and throwing blades that resemble cats.

Additions to his wardrobe include a black undershirt, sunglasses, fingerless gloves, and cat ears on the hood of his jacket. He's famous for wearing black Puma sneakers. Out of his costume, he wears normal clothes, often sporting a V-Neck shirt. He stands at 5'10 and has a very toned body. Due to his feline genetics, he has androgynous features, looking both masculine and feminine.
History:
Wildcat belongs to a species known as Mai. The Mai once acted as defenders of the human race, first as guardians for Egyptian pharaohs. The Mai are demi-gods, descendants from the cat Goddess, Bast that are possessed with cat-like attributes. The Mai's role as protectors lasted until the 16th century B.C.E. when they were defeated by the Ramses. Mai have protected humans ever since, only being a limited amount each generation. Although the Mai genome may be within the being, it remains dormant until the person is killed and the Mai’s familiar (an Egyptian Mao, said to have the spirit of Bast in them) resurrects them from death, activating the Mai gene and their powers. Before their powers, they are a normal human being.
Jeremiah Shade worked as an assistant to Ronald Jenkins, one of the most successful stockbrokers in the city. Jeremiah was always a shy, timid boy, always letting people get the best of him. The city he resided in dealt with a lot of underhanded situations and crime. Half of the police were crooked and the justice system was tragically screwed. Jeremiah has a pet cat that he calls Bast, named after the Egyptian cat Goddess. His cat has been with him since childhood, never aging. He wondered how a cat can survive for so long and not show any sign of age. One day Jeremiah witnessed some underhanded business with the stock market, resulting in Ronald sending out his people to kill him. Jeremiah was left in an alleyway to die until his cat Bast came out of nowhere and used its breath to revive him. He wondered what happened the previous night that caused him to wake up in an alley, oblivious to the fact that he died. The next several weeks he learned of these cat-like abilities he all of a sudden had. He did research and came across the Mai people; a secret race of demi-gods that were descendants from Bast. He also found out his cat was his familiar that possessed spirit of Bast in her that kept him safe throughout his life. Knowing now what he is Jeremiah became a guardian of the city, cleaning up the justice system and bringing down the stock company that was destroying people’s lives. Jeremiah is a modern day vigilante of the people, known as Wildcat. Jeremiah isn't good or bad. He does what he wants. If he sees someone in trouble, he’ll save them. If he sees pretty jewelry in a store, he’ll steal it. He’s neither a villain nor hero. He just stalks the night, doing what he feels is right.
