Name: Basko
Race: Troll
Age: 28 in troll years
Appearance:
The height of an average human man reaches the top of Basko's shoulder. In the large hide bag around his shoulder, he keeps a large collection of medicines as well as a few personal belongings.
Skills/Profession: Basko is a civilized troll. He aptly fits the role of a camp apothecary. His knowledge of medicinal herbs and salves as well as diseases and diagnosis gives members of races more traditionally known for ‘being better than trolls at it’ an impression of feeling a little behind on the subject.
Reason to be in an outcast camp/crime: Simply put, Basko has a mental condition. In other words, he’s a bit smarter and more observant than most trolls and is certainly gentler. In his early years he would always be chewing on some form of leaf simply for the sake of seeing what it would taste like.
Being raised in a tribe that revolved around being strong to get ahead in life, Basko left at the age of 20 troll years. Basko wasn’t as big as his brothers, you see, and was always frustrated by the fact that they were nitwits who would butt heads each night for the sweetest cut of whatever meat was on the spit. Surely you didn't have to be strong to be useful, Basko had far more brains than them.
Basko’s travels sent him to many places, he made ends meet by doing heavy lifting, protection, and sometimes attacking for any passing tribes. While fighting, he preferred to sling large rocks with a large hide on a couple of ropes. Some tribes were not as open hearted and Basko had to get used to being shooed away. Every time he met a new tribe, he would talk to their apothecary, doctor, whatever they had, and took in every word they had to say. It took over half a decade, but Basko eventually accumulated enough knowledge to become a skilled apothecary with a wide field of expertise and a well-spoken manner in comparison to his grunting cousins.
When he reached the borders of the outcast camp, he felt he belonged, and eventually stuck around. To this day, Basko still chews on herbs, he knows more tastes from plants than anyone he's ever met.
