Power Play [Blue Demon and Tetisheri]

[Blue Demon]

Mokosh shrugged at Athena's questions. She usually ignored and avoided Ares. She didn't much care for him. In fact she rather disliked him. He was an annoying pompous freak. Ares, the war god was never tolerable to be around. She only meet up with him because she had no other choice. He had hunted her down to pass the message along. Was that out of character? The only reason Mokosh actually said something was because of the strange hopeful tone in the other Goddess' voice.

"Um, he did hunt me down." Mokosh offered. "But I don't like him really so I usually just ignore him."

Mokosh felt slightly bad that she didn't have anything else to offer. Especially when she was being asked for something. It was a rare occasion and she had nothing to offer but a let down. She sighed and looked down at the table. "Sorry." She muttered her mood swinging back down into the dumps, as the modern saying went.

[Tetisheri]

Athena looked up at her with surprise. "Sorry?" repeated she absent-mindedly and then as if waking up, added quickly, "It's nothing to be sorry about, after all, I do the same. Usually." finished she a bit awkwardly. For some reason the event during the party didn't come out of her head and she blush slightly because she couldn't get over it. "It's me who should apologize. Sorry for all the trouble he caused you because of me. Shall we go now?"

As they were going through the crowded streets, Palladia was silent for a while. Some things didn't click to her. "Look, Mokosh..." started she quietly so that only her companion could hear her, "I am not sure but I have a feeling that you should be more than careful around any gods who tend to break order of things. Especially the Northern gods. I have reasons to suspect that the one who ruled behind this whole story is Loki. And that one is hard to get."

Loki was one of the most powerful of his tribe. Eternal trickster, he was the only one aside from Hermes who could compete with Athena in intrigues. And his imagination was good enough to fulfil any kind of plan. Causing the world to fall into trap of the war between genders? If there was anyone capable of it, that should have been him.

Mokosh walked with Athena back down the street they had traversed earlier. She smiled at some of the men, but her heart wasn't in it anymore. She sighed heavily at Athena's concerns.

"You do know I'm probably more friendly with the Norse than the Greeks right?" She tugged on her braid. "Which is kind of saying something because I'm not friendly with that many people. And a lot of them don't 'break order' as you're suggesting."

For being a Goddess or motherhood, flocks, and magic, she really wasn't one for working with others. Or even hanging out with others. She prefered to do her own thing. She was happier that way. This recent stint with Athena was strange for her. But not all that bad. The worst part was working in the company. She always complained about that whenever anyone would listen.

"But," Mokosh said quickly to forestall the other Goddess. "I'll be careful. Of them, of the other pantheons." It wouldn't be that hard. She didn't hang out with them much. She only was interested in the gossip. That was truly the only thing that was worth interacting with other Gods and Goddess for.

Mokosh entered into the building, thanking the door man. As soon as they got to her floor, it would be time to go back to work. Time to go back to whatever Athena wanted to talk about before Mokosh hauled her out to lunch. She slowed her pace to make her lunch time last just a little bit longer.
