PARANOIA RP: Calling All Troubleshooters
Good daycycle loyal citizen! It's your favorite High Programmer, Holo-U-BNY-42! I have an exciting announcement from Friend Computer. The Illustrious Digital One has given you all a quite wonderful opportunity for some mandatory volunteer bonus duty! You love Alpha Complex. You're not a filthy, treasonous, commie, mutant traitor. You hate nasty mutants and dangerous commie scum. So obviously it will delight you to find yourselves on the front lines in the fight against ideological, genetic, and behavioral anomalies. The Computer has seen fit in all Its benevolent wisdom to outfit you with many amazing well-tested and completely functional devices, all 100% guaranteed to be harmless to the user and absolutely certain to work as promised, and to carry the day for you, your team, and your Complex. Yes, the computer needs you, citizen (and likely the next several decantations from your clone family as well.)
OK, seriously. I am checking interest for a game that would actually take place over in the free rp's. I am posting here because I would expect such a degree of wit and legibility from my players as to term my expectations extra-high free. The reason this is a free rp is due to the unique nature of the role play. It is a comedy game, and so more situation and less character-driven than a lot of the stuff around here. Sometimes one-liners are the funniest way to go, and making everyone (but especially the GM) smile and think is what it's all about. This could also be accurately described as an often action-oriented and PVP (player vs player) setting, so it ends up being best played in the forum format through frequent PM's to the GM and shorter posts.
If I have piqued your interest but you know nothing about the the system, don't worry.
A) Happiness is mandatory. Worry is an indicator of lack of faith in Friend Computer's All-Knowing Benevolence. You do don't lack faith in The Computer's Grand Benevolence, do you, trusted citizen?
B) Any apparent knowledge of the rules is against the rules anyway.
C) Pop on over to the free interest check and view my posted setting resources. Believe it or not, the big PDF is a fun read.
Trust no one, and keep your laser handy.
