Name: Ellie Phillips Fawcett
Age (18+): 26
Human
Occupation (optional though I would like to see it): Inventor, Tinkerer, Shop Owner
Personality (at least a paragraph): Ellie Fawcett is just one of those people that people tend to like after an encounter. She is the "friendly shop owner" that everyone says hi and makes small talk every time they are passing through, but beyond that no one really knows her. She usually keeps people outside of her personal life because she just isn't trusting at this point in her life. This philosophy is not the easiest to upheld because Ellie feels lonely often but tries filling that gap in her life with work. Despite working during most of her daily routine, she often fantasizes about the rest of the world. As a result, she'll sketch little pictures of landscapes or something adventurous but it only furthers her feeling of seclusion, but she still keeps that outward smile and charm.
History (at least a paragraph please): Ellie's life can really be placed in one area, the flying city of Stillworth. She was born in it, raised in it, and has lived in it for the entirety of her life. She was an only child due to her mother and father conceiving at an old age and her mother dying while in childbirth. Ellie's father, a clock-maker by trade, did a fine job of raising her and she had a happy upbringing. It was no surprise that she decided to follower her father's footsteps and become a clockwork engineer and the father was more than happy to teach her. So from the age of eighteen to twenty four, Ellie worked as a partner to her father in his shop. She was happy and maintained a very satisfying lifestyle. That all went South on the eve of her 25th birthday. A potential customer strolled into the shop just as it was going to close. He was a little strange, Ellie had noticed as the man perused around the shop not really looking for anything in particular. When Ellie's father approached the man and asked, the man drew a knife and demanded money. Well Ellie's father wasn't unfamiliar with a petty thief and knew it was just best to hand over the money so he did. Well something must have snapped in the man's mind because as soon as he was handed the money he struck Ellie's father, knocking him down, and he brought the heel of his boot the the head of the old man. Ellie's father was too old and even as minimal as the encounter was, he died. Ellie fled and hoped that her father would be alright but several hours later she knew what became of her father. She left her father to die and that notion has changed her drastically. She slowly faded out of the world and focused only on her work. As time passed she lost contact with her friends and extended family. It was just her and the shop.
Weapons: Her father's old rifle, powder, and shot is still hanging around the shop. Somewhere.
Other: Ellie discovered her uncanny ability to breathe 'life' into clockwork machines. They run smoother and her machines seem to live out on their own. Because of this, she has numerous clockwork toys flying and marching around the office. A Fawcett toy has become a cherished child item as a result of her ability.
Steampunk
-----
Question, though.
Is there a certain level of Magic involved or is the Fantasy portion just centered around the mythical creatures?
