Alright... So... I figure... Alternate universe. With like a few of the old villains if any or something along those line. Differents mains... Maybe even a war with the saiyans because maybe they weren't destroyed in this one. And by war... I mean... Fight the current king and take control and stop them from destroying earth. Or something... I'm open to ideas... But you know... we have some people. Protect earth... Maybe the universe.
Only about 3 or 4 saiyans. I'm one of them. lol um... Whatever. I haven't thought too far ahead yet.

I like the sound of this, i will think about joining if you have anymore ideas about what you wish to do in this RP private message me.
One of the best things about this is that nothing in dbz has to be politically correct, so we can pretty much go crazy with the plot and do whatever we like with only the slightest slap-together explanations to have it all make sense.
For our plot, I would suggest multiple different sagas.
One could be something that starts off like another classic dragon ball scavenger hunt, like in the lost episodes where we travel all over the galaxy to find them. Except when we find and gather all seven and try to summon the dragon, nothing happens. Soon, one of us accidentally stumbles upon an eighth dragon ball. And it turns out there are a lot more than seven. Later on we learn that the extra ones beyond seven are actually failed creations from the one who originally created the dragon balls. They did not function properly when they were first made, but now that enough time has passed the energy within them has finally awakened and can be harnessed. Between all of the dragon balls, there is a connection that allows them to sense one another. This allows the dragon balls to recognize when the others are close or far away, calling to one another regardless of the distance. This sense they possess had never detected the extra dragon balls before because their energy has remained dormant all of those years, but now that the first seven dragon balls sense their missing cousins we know there are more that need to be gathered.
We could have special characters that were hidden away in the dragon balls all this time, and when infused with enough energy they will awaken. These beings could be either good or evil, and the only way to find out is to shoot energy into a dragon ball and release them from their prisons.
Maybe the goal of the people trapped in the dragon balls would be to get revenge on those who held them captive like this to created the dragon balls. We could say that in order to create the dragon balls, many lives had to be sacrificed. Many were from other worlds, and some were specifically bred just to be sacrificed later. While inside each dragonball, the ever-fluctuating energy merged all of those people's souls into one being, and from there their power continued to grow. I'm thinking most of these beings in the dragon balls would be evil and seek revenge on Goku and his friends for some reason (or even the entire world/universe), but there could be a couple of them who see the good in life and decide not to be evil and side with us instead.
Another idea: What about Frieza's empire? Did it all just collapse all of a sudden, or are they still floating around space somewhere?
Or did they wish to seek their ruler? We could say that the soldiers had traced Frieza's spaceship back to the planet earth where it landed last, tracked it down and went there. It may have taken them a long time to track it down and get there, so it could take place anytime after the android saga, I guess. Frieza's men could learn what happened to him, then try to conquer/destroy earth for themselves (if not just to get revenge).
Just an idea for a mini-arc, at best. Sorry, not all of my ideas can be good ones.
But then again, another possible idea could take place in the future with Trunks, after the androids destroy so much of the world we could say that he came back and defeated them and the people rebuilt or are in the middle of rebuilding their homes.
And since Trunks traveled through time and back, we could say he completely changed the course of things. Maybe Dr. Gero's true self is in outer space, and the android used to represent him was just a decoy. He could have a whole base on some distant planet he had already conquered with androids, and could be sending a huge platoon of killer androids and genetically-engineered Cell-things to earth, and plans to overthrow all of humanity: All just to destroy poor little Goku.
Perhaps Dr. Gero now has multiple space bases filled with armies of androids and Cell things, or bases on other planets. Hundreds of thousands of different multiply-upgraded versions of Cell things. All created from saiyans, humans, nameks, frieza-ish people (is there even a name for that species, btw?), Baby from GT, Shinron, other androids, the original Cell, each other, plus all sorts of other alien/technological monstrosities out there that we have yet to discover (like a super saiyan twelve or something completely bizarre XD). Leaves room for mystery in a sense.
And the reason Dr. Gero was able to do all of this was because he and some of his androids hijacked some NASA spacecrafts, filled them with his lab supplies and took their studies to the moon, stars and beyond. And even back and forward in time, in a time machine he could use to repeatedly introduce his newest inventions, ideas and other twisted creations to his former self, which gives him multiple jump after jump starts in his progress. He could have built several time machines for his Cell people and androids to travel through to conquer other worlds on their own, and to expand his research. And with that he would search for more worthy fighters to absorb and add to his ultimate DNA collection, which he would use in the final endgame battle to breed the true ultimate bionic Cell overlord android killing machine… thing. Which, for some reason, would still resemble a cockroach. And in the end it would make one final attempt at victory by fusing with all of the Cells, androids and other abominations of Dr. Gero to become even more ridiculously powerful.

One way we can work this is to create some ideas for different sagas, figure out when and where each takes place. Then we can try to create some plot charries and place them wherever they seem to fit into the story, then tweek things and make changes as needed. Organizing is one thing I suck at, so... where do you want to begin?
