Matthias said and just to show he was not intimidated he made the sign of the cross again and stared the monster in the eyes.
"Strike me down if you wish, but no foul demon will scare me into denying my faith. Now as for hospitality, when your hospitality do not involve threats an shows of force then you can complain, until then spare me your mock indignation and get on with what you have called us here to say."
Matthias knew he was putting himself in danger here but he would not relent, he might fear death, most living things did, but he also knew that when he died he would meet his beloved wife and children again in heaven and he had to stay strong in his faith. Matthias did not touch the offered food, to eat in such a den of deviltry would be a sin, but he did stand silent and listen to what his monstrous host had to say.

Matthias looked angrily at his host when the monster mentioned his daughters, and his activities, but the thing was speaking the truth, there would be a reckoning if the law was to figure out even half of what he had done in God's name. The witch hunter said nothing for now but he did start to look around suspiciously at the others as he monster went on talking, where they all witches and demons? What den of sin had he stepped into. Matthias got a look of disgust on his face as the conversation went on.

When the host claimed to be a God Matthias spat on the floor and his eyes grew dangerous.
"Silence demon, you have my attention and I shall admit you have knowledge I would rather not have exposed and that have earned you some time to explain what you want, I will however not stand here and listen to such blasphemy, you are no God, there is only one ruler of heaven and you are not him, if you want my help you will not speak such venom for I will rather die at the gallows by the hands of the fools who might disprove of my methods than to stand here and listen to such filth! Now claim to be a God one more time and I will walk, I do not wish to save my flesh at the expense of my soul."
Matthias eyes burned with rage then after a while he calmed down a little and asked.
"Now demon what is this darkness you are talking about? And what child is it that you want me and these sinners to find?"
In heavens name, was he even contemplating this? Working with witches? Well it would depend on what the darkness this Ourabos talked about was and how great the need, and besides working with the foul creatures would allow him to learn more about them so he could hunt them down and destroy them later."

Matthias had to struggle not to jump when Iris decided to show herself, a soul less one, well this group just turned out to be more and more ungodly it seamed. Matthias knew he should get out of there, but he wanted to know what this darkness that Ourabos spoke of was first for he worried that if the demon had gone to such lengths to bring them all here there had to be some reason for it, some reason that might be even worse than their monstrous host.
"Now demon I do think you lie about your parentage, a lie to try to impress us no doubt, however shows of power will not help with me, I am not a dog to be commanded. I have a feeling it is a sin to even be this close to you but I will give you this once chance to tell me more about this darkness, why should I risk damnation helping you and these other devils? You may kill me but I will gladly die for my purity you have to give me more than threats to get my cooperation demon!"
