Earth-341
As time has progressed, SHIELD has remained a single constant. Protecting the people of Earth from all kinds of natural, and unnatural disasters. Director of operations Nick Fury has helmed the project for as long as its been in existence. Keeping track of all enterprise and ensuring the best job possible.
Recently however, more and more super powered beings have begun to create serious problems, ones the normal SHIELD agents couldn’t handle on their own. Finally it took a massive breakout at a super-prison to cause SHIELD to take action. Fury created a new section of the SHIELD operatives known by the moniker “Avengers”. Collecting the finest super-powered agents he could. They have since been able to recapture all of the villains and have since been used for various tasks. The team has since become known to the public as simply, The Avengers.
Rules and info:
1. The main crux of this RP is that the Avengers are a part of SHIELD, not necessarily a separate entity. As such each member of the team wear what is the SHIELD uniform...
Since The Avengers are high ranking officers, they are given more creative freedom to remodel the uniform to an extent. Changing colors, adding or taking away small parts as needed. That said the SHIELD logo still needs to be on it somewhere.
2. The other major set up for this RP is that you are only allowed to play as a character who has either served as a member of the Avengers at some point, or was given honorary status. However whoever you choose, the other major rule is that you must change their backstory to something different from the original story.
The roster:
1. Haikufrenzy - Ant/Giant Man
2. futaneko0200 - She Hulk
3. Nightwing95 - Black Panther
4. Oiharkin - Doctor Strange
5. Spartan - War Machine
6. Mattmanganon - Captain Britain
7.

Full name: Adam Langston
Alias: Ant/Giant Man (HE CAN’T DECIDE OKAY!?)
Age: 24
Appearance:
Uniform modifications:(SHIELD logo on the left shoulder, also the suit has a mouth covering apparatus for breathing either at extremely tall or extremely small heights.)
Skills: Can play the bass guitar with some success, very capable hand-to-hand fighter, has the best achievement point total out of anyone in SHIELD
Abilities: While a normal person who can lift the average amount, going into ‘ant’ mode allows Adam to shrink down insect sizes. When smaller he capable of maintaining his usual strength levels, as well as call upon ants and other insect for assistance. When going into ‘giant’ mode, Adam can grow upwards of 100 feet tall, with his strength increasing to a max of being able to lift 50 tons.
Bio: For the longest time Adam Langston was a troubling young man. Not because of being a bad person or falling in with the wrong crowds. More because of the fact that he was a smart man, very smart at times. Who seemingly also had moments of complete stupidity and laziness. He was a directionless sort, never really possessing much motivation in life that didn’t include hanging out with friends, playing music, or playing video games.
It all changed when a friend of his introduced him to Janet Van Dyne, who became a love interest for Adam. The two began going out, enjoying one another’s company. Things were going good until one night during a date the two saw from a distance a Laundromat being held up. What happened next caused Adam to stare on in shock. As he watched Janet shrink down, then attack the robber by flying around him shooting blasts of energy that knocked him out cold.
Stunned Janet avoided Adam for a few days, worried he was mad at her for not telling him. However when Adam finally came to her apartment he only had two questions...
1. How long have you been keeping this from me? ("About a few years Adam... it was my father's research and he let me finish it, so I've been doing this ever since...")
2. Can you hook me up with superpowers? That would be AWESOME! ("...wait what?")
After finally agreeing to help Adam, and going through all the steps needed. Adam was not only capable of shrinking down to the same level as her, he also found himself capable of being able to grow to massive sizes (The first time he did so was without a suit... it was out in the middle of nowhere where no one saw it but Janet, but it was still an embarrassing moment). The two continued to date until one night Janet called Adam. Telling him she’s gotten a job at her father’s company in Seattle, and asked him about taking a position at the company she had pleaded her father into making for Adam. He said no, causing her to after a moment to finally tell him that she can’t go out with him anymore if he can’t pull his head out of his ass and make something of himself.
Heartbroken Adam tried to figure out what to do with his life when SHIELD came knocking. They knew about his work and offered him a spot on the new ‘Avengers’ section of the organization. Mulling over the choice Adam finally agreed.

Full name: Jennifer Walters
Alias: She Hulk
Age: 30
Appearance:
Uniform modifications: It is generally the same uniform, minus the sleeves and holsters. The SHIELD patch is visible on her chest, just below her collar bone on the left side but still above her breast. You can often see her with her zipper down, just enough to catch a small glimpse of cleavage
Skills:
Lawyer: Jennifer Walters is lawyer of great skill and conviction who specializes in no area of law. She graduated from the UCLA school of law, in the top 10 percentile of her class.
Abilities:
Superhuman Strength: Saying She Hulk can lift alot would be an understatement. She Hulk is known to be able to weightlift at the maximum setting for Ben Grimm's weight machine for a good while. She is theorized to be on par with Wonderman in terms of strength under normal conditions.
Superhuman Durability: Like the namesake she shares, she is able to take just as much as she can dish out and more. Not as much as her 10 foot tall counterpart, but still quite a bit.
Superhuman Endurance: She Hulk's lactic Acids are almost non existent, in the fact that it takes alot to wear her out physically. This could also be attributed to her Healing Factor
Superhuman Speed: She is not a speedster, but is beyond the finest athlete's in terms of speed. but she gains this from her developed muscle.
Regenerative Healing Factor: Not only can She Hulk take damage, but she is also capable of healing the damage taken
Bio:Jennifer Walters has always been a smart girl as far as school goes, and any friendships she has certainly don't lack because of it. She has always been closest with her cousin Bruce Banner, having been together nearly all of their lives. When neither one were studying, they could be seen doing some random activity together, or just hanging out at each other's houses, just to talk about things. As Jennifer got older, their friendship stayed true. So strong was the bond that when Jennifer got into a bus accident on her way to school, Bruce was the first one to step up and give his blood for her. The two being a perfect match for one another, id what save Jennifer's life that day. It would also pave the road for her future life.
Later on sometime into her law career She decided that on Bruce's birthday, she would take him to lunch. However on that day, a day that was supposed to be only preliminary testing, a major malfunction happened that not only let out a gamma leak, but also caused an explosion in the lab. Luckily for her she wasn't quite as irradiated due to a lead apron that landed on her during the explosion. However the same could not be said for her cousin as he disappeared some days later.
Hulk had started to make appearances around the world, making news, as a monster, a monster known as Hulk. It wasn't long after this kind of news that her own transformation took place. She was on her way home from work to do her homework on a case she had been working on. Some guy decided to mug her specific vehicle. A rush of adrenaline and fear wiped over her, causing her change, from mousy little Jennifer Walters, to a 7 foot tall, leggy green woman, guaranteed to put even beauties like Lucy Liu, or Marilyn Monroe to shame. Needless to say, the mugger got his dues, and the world got a new, if not roughly accepted heroine, one who accepted her new form, much more readily than one would have thought of Jennifer Walters. The rest of her hero career becomes history, as she falls in with avengers eventually, taking on the life of a hero and Lawyer, both defending those who cannot.

Epic posts:
I want to reserve a spot as the Black Panther. Promise that I will have a CS up shortly.
Full name: Dr. Stephen Strange
Alias: Dr. Strange, the Sorceror Supreme
Age: 47
Appearance:
Uniform modifications: Though his base uniform is essentially unmodified, he often supplements it with a number of "artefacts" and "magical" items, most commonly a crimson cloak with a gold trim and a gold amulet that resembles an eye. He calls these the Cloak of Levitation (and indeed he appears to be able to fly while wearing it) and the Eye of Agamotto.
Skills:
-Occult Expert: Though SHIELD does not formally recognise the existence of the mystical or otherwise supernatural - at best they grudgingly classify such as "sufficiently advanced technology" - if they did they would list Dr. Stephen Strange as the world's foremost expert in the study of such matters, both in terms of theoretical knowledge and practical skill. He has an encylopedic knowledge of spells, counterspells, alchemy, demonology and other matters generally considered inappropriate for serious conversation.
-Medical Practitioner: Before beginning down the path of magic, Dr. Stephen Strange was one of the finest neurosurgeons in America, if not the world. Though the car crash that crippled his hands ensure he'll never weild a scalpel again, he has sufficient medical knowledge and training to serve quite adequately as a surgical consultant - and in-field medic.
-Martial Arts: Though not a fighter anywhere near the level of, say, Captain America, Strange's mystical training contained a physical element; a martial arts style similar in appearance to an obscure variant of Shaolin kung-fu. This was primarily something he trained in as physiotherapy to help regain the use of his hands, though it makes him an adequate fighter should his magic fail him.
Abilities:
-Magic: To call Dr. Strange an highly skilled magical practicioner would be a wasted opportunity to use the word 'consumate'. He is the most powerful and skilled (known) mortal spellcaster on Earth and as such has the title of "Sorceror Supreme" until such time as another spellcaster can wrest it from him or he lose it some other way. His spells most often take the form of conjuring and manipulating energy in the forms of blasts, bindings or shields. However, with the right incantations or rituals, he can perform spells for almost any effect - as long as nothing inteferes with his casting.
-Magic Artefacts: Strange has a collection of mystical artifacts from over the course of his career. He sometimes uses these in the field according to his need, but that generally requires him to have an idea of the situation he's going into in order to be adequately prepared. Two he's virtually never seen without are the Cloak of Levitation - which allows him to fly and can move of it's own will, often used to tangle enemies before they can attack Strange - and the Eye of Agamotto - which grants him extrasensory perception and the ability to pierce through deception.
Bio: Stephen Strange was born in Philadelphia and knew he wanted to be a doctor at the age of 11, when he saved his sister from drowning. Sure enough, he was an extremely gifted student and was accepted into medical school after graduating from high school. However, his idealism was tempered when his sister committed suicide when he was nineteen, undermining his belief in the value of every human life. Still, he recieved a high medical qualification and went on to become a very successful neurosurgeon.
Strange displayed phenomenal talent as a surgeon, quickly becoming widely-known and extremely well-paid. The rich and powerful made him their go-to for surgical procedures and he had no difficulty setting up an independant private practice with such an influential client base. However, this just made him grow more and more distant from the idealistic youth he'd once been, becoming cynical and bitter. He refused to accept charity cases, alienating him from his fiancee, a UN translator. Stephen even refused to visit his dying father's death bed, he'd become so self-absorbed.
That changed one day when Strange was run off the road by a drunk driver. The crash mangled his hands almost to the point where amputation would have been necessary, but a surgical miracle meant he was able to keep them - at a cost. The highly trained fingers and delicate manual dexterity so vital to his chosen field had been obliterated, leaving him with fingers that were little better than sausages. He could no longer practice surgery, but was too proud to accept a role as an assitant or consultant and so he burned through his considerable fortune in search of anything that might restore his hands - other neurosurgeons, experimental techniques and eventually even resorting to alternative medicine.
He travelled to the Himalayan mountains, chasing after rumours of someone called The Ancient One, who was supposed to dwell there and was known to be a miraculous healer. When he finally located the Ancient One's mountain temple and presented the wise elder with his mangled hands, he was refused. Angered, Strange lashed out and accused the Ancient One of being a fraud who only refused him because he knew that some herbs and the placebo effect wouldn't work here. But when an assassin came to the temple only to be struck down by the Ancient One in a display of overwhelming sorcerous power. The assassin had been sent by the Ancient One's pupil, Baron Mordo, in an attempt to usurp the man's power and Strange realised his mistake when he saw the pure and wise Ancient One strip Mordo of his power and cast him out. His pride broke and he humbly bowed and requested that the Ancient One take him as his new pupil.
Over the next few years, Stephen Strange was not seen in the wider world due to his intensive and secluded training with the Ancient One. In fact, he was declared legally dead before his eventual return to America. He learned much under his apprenticeship with the Ancient One, though he will not refer to any specifics when asked. All that can be inferred from what is known thus far is that prior to his return to America, he must have bested or killed his mentor, the Ancient One, in order to inherit the title of Sorceror Supreme, which had previously been held by the Ancient One. Whether this was Strange usurping his mentor's power like Baron Mordo had attempted before him or simply the Ancient One passing the mantle to a worthy successor is unknown.
What is known that on his return to New York he set himself up in Greenwich Village as a kind of "occult consultant", carrying out exorcisms and developing ties with the fledgling superhero community. When SHIELD eventually learned of his existence, they approached him initially to employ him as a consultant rather than a full agent, serving on cases where even known mutant abilities didn't seem to work as explanations. He had been working with SHIELD in this capacity for about a year before the Avengers Initiative was founded and he was brought about to serve as the team's magic expert and field medic.
Full name: Unknown
Alias: Zero
Age: unknown
Appearance:
Uniform modifications: Instead of the shield uniform he simply wears his investigator uniform with the badge sewn on to the upper right arm. (His full outfit)Spoiler
Skills: Is an expert at crime scene investigation and police work in general. Knows his way around a pistol. Very good with hand to hand and bladed fighting.
Abilities:
He seems to be able to fall from great heights without getting hurt, he also has enhanced perception and can see things far away(Assuming nothing is blocking his line of sight), enhanced agility meaning he can run faster than normal but not as fast as someone with super speed and he can jump a bit more fluently, he seems to have something called 'the flow' which is more of a blue flame substance around him, barely visible and doing no damage but it seems to power him in fights. He seems to have two non-lethal powers, one that brings him and 1-4 other people into some sort of dimension of his memories and the other being that he stays the same age until he dies.
Bio:
Before 'Zero' adorned his mask he was a normal police investigator during the 40's after fighting in WW2. Unbeknownst to him now he had actually fought a Japanese banzai using only his combat knife. After the war he married young and loved his wife, family and job more than himself. All in all life was great, that is great without mentioning seeing the dismembered bodies of serial killers. He quickly ascended the ladder of jobs in the police force up to actually trying to track down and bring in or kill serial killers or murderers. For the first few weeks things were going fine, he had caught one killer with the help of his partner and had tracked down another.
The other killer was different though. Different than any killer seen by anyone before. His name was something along the lines of 'Dr. Urien'. Apparently Dr. Urien was a reclusive, successful doctor who had helped create some 'disclosed' drugs for the government. The doctor had reportedly gone insane one night around 3am and had ran out into the street wearing nothing but a loincloth and shouting
"A new breed!" over and over again. The doctor had been put into an asylum where he escaped after a year(presumably of digging, holes dont appear under asylums out of nowhere ya know?)
Zero and his partner had tracked down the doctor and discovered his location through an unknown source. They had little to go on other than this source but it was better than nothing. They went to the place, an abandoned apartment building, sprawling with rats. They went in to find something inhumane. Rats with bulging eyes and deformities. They found a room lit by the sparks of something. They went in only to be knocked out. Things got fuzzy after that.
Zero remembered waking up with something cold on his face. A mask. He could see better and was glowing with something. He looked over to the operating table next to him to find his partner, dead and dismembered along with Urien who had seemingly committed suicide and had written 'Zero' on the walls with his blood. This is most of what Zero remembers after blacking out.
Only he hadn't blacked out, he had fallen into a coma. He woke up many years later in (INSERT APPROPRIATE DATE HERE) in a rubble coffin. He pushed his way out to find himself in a sewer. He found his way to the surface to see everything so advanced. He could remember nothing but the name 'Zero' and how much of an abomination he was. After that he became a vigilante, still holding some of the heroicness of a cop from his past life. Eventually he was contacted by S.H.I.E.L.D and became an Avenger.
