He said, while they were making their way to the meeting."And if you don't mind me asking, what exactly happened in the jail? Usually you have no problem handling the buddies of the scum that's locked up in there."

"truth be told, we..i have no idea where she is." Neo said, a bit flustered. "e-excuse me. i..need to prepare for my presentation." with that, he ran off. he found what he had thought to be an empty room, and entered, locking the door behind him. the room had no windows, so with the door closed and locked the interior was pitch black. "hah..what..what is this.. i feel him. scratching..beating around in my head! PHOENIX! this is not your life anymore! it's mine! for twenty years i waited, locked inside our body. i won't go back to that prison! i won't! i..refuse to be bound any longer!' darkness's voice raged out from the room. however, if a telepath like jerry were to have their channels open, they'd hear another voice. a tired, yet resolute voice that was clawing it's way to the surface of darkness's mind. "no more! i won't sit back and watch you destroy this city. this is my home! these..are my people! and i will do whatever is needed to protect them! if i can't fully retake control..than i'll destroy us both. but i will not allow you to continue this, darkness!" the voice rang out mentally, becoming clearer with each word.

Jade was gone before Alex could say good bye, he waved at least and when he turned to join Clay the old man was looking down at him.
"What happened to the tank?"
"Alright, so there wasn't any tank for me to fix. I just wanted some time alone and that was when I ran into Jade. She saw my board and we flew around for a bit. Is it a crime to get to know someone my age who happens to have the same hobbies?"
"You could have just said that you wanted some time on top of Ultropolis Tower, it isn't much use trying to keep secrets if we don't even hide own identities." Clay started walking, he had an 'errand' he had to get to soon.
"You knew about my spot?" Alex followed close behind
"Wasn't that hard to figure out. It's where I had to save you the first time, right in the middle of the city which makes your flight times the same near every time when you aren't cutting across town. Not to mention I see you fall from that tower at least once a week...."
"Why didn't you tell me you knew where I was going?"
"You go up there for private time, meaning you think there often, and at the time all we had to think about were a few petty gangs and minor criminals. Now we are moving up the big leagues and that will put a lot of thoughts in your head for you to process. Keep doing what you do kid, we'll need that head of yours if we plan to keep up with this stuff."

The mental shout of the real Neo Phoenix made Jerry turn quickly, "Ow, what was that?" he said as he ran to find the source. As he was about to find the door, he was stopped by Dr. Walken who started blabbing on to him about things. Ada was back to her normal self and had seen Neo walk in from a distance. She knocked on the door. "Are you alright in there?" she asked softly.

Jade looked back sadly. "I sometimes wish I was normal." she said before quickly catching up to the others. Doctonium Man told them to go to the house and to not leave until he gets back or calls them. They did as they were told and Dr. Doctome arrived at the meeting place, as he changed out of his armored suit, and it formed into a White Suit, mixing lab coat with business suit.

The Warden turned to Marc. "We're going to the town meeting. They are supposed to be talking about how we can upgrade the security of the prison, or in this case we are going to rebuild it. But there is also supposed to be a larger thing going on behind it. All the big names of the city, a few from around the world, and even businessmen were invited to it. I'm allowed to bring one guest, but Gladys is out of town, so I guess I'll take you." he said. He turned into a hover car. "Get in." he said to Marc.

"hah...i-i'm fine..just peachy. ah!! Damn it! out.. get out of my head!! i own this body..not..not you, you pathetic weakling! i am darkness! i am the the supreme being! I AM- going down. Hard. i'm done sitting here as a prisoner. this is my body! MY LIFE! AND I WILL TAKE IT BACK!!" that was the response from the other side of the door. inside the room, a struggle of minds was afoot. if one were to bust into the room, they'd see the sight of neo crouching in a hunched posture. his hands gripped to his head, and a swirling cloud of dark smoke swirling around him like a twister. were they to look closely, they'd notice the smoke attempting to cling to him, forming small portions of darkness's form when it did, only to recoil off soon after.

Marc stepped into the hover car. "Ow, those kind of meetings. You know I never attend those. I usually send one of my guys and if there is anything important they fill me in. I guess the whole blowing up of the jail is kind of important, isn't it?"

Marc rarely bothered to go to such trivial things. If he found something that was useful he would contact the Warden directly. Similarly, if the Warden needed money or stuff like fireproof materials to contain a pyrokinetic criminal he would usually approach Marc.

Ada burst in through the door, "What's going on?" she said worried as she looked upon the clinging shadows on Neo.

Dr. Doctome had just stepped into the actual meetings door.

The warden got to the meeting shortly after, with Marc.

with a final scream, neo drudged up the will to force darkness to separate. "grah..you..you worm. i made us more than you would have ever been. and this is how you repay me?! fine! have your freedom, and rot in it." darkness sneered, turning to smoke and fleeing the building.

"heh..finally.
after all those years. i..i'm finally free." neo said. though it was more to affirm it to himself than anything else. after a moment, he stood and dusted himself off. "alright..i've got to get to the meeting. i'll take the opportunity to do some good, maybe even turn darkness's plans on him."

"Alright everyone, take a seat, and we can get this meeting underway." a short professor said after he tapped the microphone. He waited for everyone to take a seat, and continued. "Today, before anything else. We are letting everyone here know, there is life outside of our solar system. They are visiting our planet right now. But do not be alarmed. We have here today, a representative of these other races, which will sign a treaty, with our world's representatives, this means, we may not discriminate between races of other visitors to our planet. We need to know this, for future scientific advancements, as well as our law enforcement." He continued to trail off.

"C'mon." A.D.A. said as the professor began talking, and tried to pull Neo out of the closet. "We can talk about it later." she said.
