Name: Lionel Sears
Personality: Fairly light-hearted and jovial. He has an optimistic and easy going approach to life, yet a bittersweet and cynical view of the world and people. He’s no ladies man but he can get playful and flirty as a means of mild rebellion if threatened by a female, or if he needs to manipulate a female to his advantage. He’s good looking and charming and he knows it. To his friends, he’s very nice guy and fun to be around. To his enemies, though. He doesn’t mess around. He can kill without any remorse.
Fighting Style: He can fire a gun and he can throw a punch. He's no sharpshooter or black belt, but he does have experience in a fair few fights. He's well practiced with a few different types of weapon, and can handle himself in both firefight and brawl.
Background: Lionel lived a quiet life on a fairly small landmass called Lasslarin off the cost of the massive continent known as Metropolis, on the planet known as Eden; the second home of the humans, the first one being Earth. He had a rather mundane childhood in a small little town, isolated from the rest of Lasslarin by mountains one one side and the sea on the other. As soon as he was 16 he left home for Metropolis, acquired a driving liscence and a piloting liscence and started working for a space taxi/ferry service.
This job showed him the ugly side of most famous cities and countries around the world, and these injustices of extremely deep class systems and alien races both unified and polarised in their greed, and their suffering. He occasionally let his poorer customers off with a discount, sometimes even for free. Before he knew it, he had given up his job as was an immigrant smuggler. This got him a fair bit of attention from the authorities on multiple occasion, where he discovered he was pretty good at outrunning them in a number of different space and surface vehicles. After getting caught and heavily fined, he decided to take a break from smuggling and look for another way to help the less fortunate; a better way, that would also get back at the bastards who took the money he had worked so hard to save up.
Looking around for another opportunity to help these people, he was directed to the Twilight Runners. It was a simple matter of expressing his views and quickly proving his skills and he was the pilot of the Dawn Runner. And it was, he had to admit, a very nice ship!
