I grew up hearing tales of the travelers; how they'd come at times of great need to bring order to troubled lands only to disappear after their work was done. Everyone remembers the battle of Cetoshiex, The fall of Ikurexineux, and the liberation Southern Sluxn; but Nost has been in trouble for a great long time. Everyone from the Two Tones to The Connected have been stuck under the oppressive rule of Vutsquovv; a powerful sorceress that came here and took control. She used her army of minions to wrench the power from the upper-class, and put everyone that opposed her into the depths of the Togiot's lair.

It's been nearly twelve years and everyday I travel to Arrival's Pier in hopes that today will be the day the travelers arrive to save my family, and my home; the island of Nost.

You play a young child from Earth.

THE WAY THINGS WORK

Setting updates and Private messages: Setting updates affect all the people in the RP and Private messages are used when I have to send information to a single person or give them an update separate to them alone.

Leveling up: If I find that you've done something neat, stayed in character, been posting a lot, or have gone out of your way to help the RP flourish then you could level up. I hand out about four of these after every event. Leveling up adds something to the character, but exactly what shall remain a mystery until then.

Aleksandr & Natascha Schvobinskiy

The air was cold, but otherwise the weather was nice as the two siblings walked in the park. They were done with their morning fencing lessons and had time to take a slightly more scenic route.

"You always swing too widely Natascha, you can't just go and blame my reach for every time I win."

"Sure I can."

Aleks knew it was futile to go any further, she wasn't listening anymore. A butterfly had caught her attention.

"Ooh a zebra blue!"

As far as natascha was concerned any butterfly warranted chasing. Aleks didn't know what the scientific name of this one was, and would probably look it up on Wikipedia when he got home, especially if she managed to catch it. She had a strange knack for catching butterflies with her bare hands, something he was never comfortable even attempting.

She was off.

Aleksy watched her zig and zag through the park keeping close enough to keep a good eye on her but not trying to match his sister's pace. She was getting close to the woods. They were told to keep out of the woods. They weren't incredibly deep but you could be lost for a good half hour if you didn't mind your surroundings, they both knew this. Natascha just didn't care as she started following the butterfly in.

"Natascha! We aren't supposed to go in there alone!"

Aleksy was now running, but even with his long legs he was hardly able to keep up with his sister.

What is up with this butterfly, it's almost like it is taunting her. They almost never fly so straight, and how is it flying so fast?

"Natascha, slow down, mom wanted us back before lunch!"

"But I've almost got it!"

Almost needless to say that they were lost in the woods quickly enough. Natascha was out of breath as Aleks caught up, the butterfly now daintily flapping along too high for them to reach.

"We'll be in trouble for this, Natascha. Come on If we just walk straight for long enough we will reach the end of the park."

"Hoo... Sorry... I almost had it though."

Natascha smiled, and that is when Aleks saw what was behind her. He dropped their fencing gear.

"That isn't right, I've never heard of this arch here."

Behind a few trees, he saw it. An old worn looking stone arch, looking through it was almost like there was a lens inside, the view behind being distorted.

"How strange... I don't think I like it brother. We should go home and ask our parents about it."

"Is there something inside, some glass perhaps?"

Aleks approached, as did Natascha, slowly. He reached out and stepped through.

"Aleksandr!"

The distortion rippled as he disappeared. Natascha backed up a little, she bumped her foot into the fencing gear. It wasn't real combat gear but that didn't occur to her as she picked it up and ran through the portal.
