    Mutagen

    Trans walked throughout New York city, looking around at the mutants that wandered about freely. He wondered how it all came to happen. The war, the loss, the rebuilding. And then the mutants, like him. How did it all fit in to the book he was reading? "This Brinstin guy really knows how to write about the different myths and stories." Trans said to himself, as he was walking to the subway station.

    Alicen brushed some hair out of her eyes as she wiped down the table she was leaning over. She finished wiping it down and moved on to the next table, placing the dirty dishes in the tub she carried then used the rag to clean the mess from it. She sighed, straightening and looking out the window. Her blue eyes gazed at the sky in longing, wishing she could just fly away. Away from the orphanage and the people there that hated her because she was different. Luckily the people from her work didnt know of her power else they might cast her out, mutants being free or not. She brushed her snow-white hair out of her face again then got back to work.

    "I have been sent here in hopes of recruiting you to join a special team that hopes to bring justice to evil mutants in the new York area." Trans answered, handing her a slip of paper that shows her the amount of money she will earn a month. "One thousand dollars a month." Trans said.

    Her mouth gaped in shock. "one thousand dollars?! a month?! goodness. But..my power is healing. will that be useful?" She asked.

    "A free room in the headquarters. 10 feet by 11 feet bedrooms. 8 feet by 8 feet kitchen. And normal sized bathrooms. However you will have to share your living space with others, if that is ok." Trans said as he showed her pictures of the rooms.

    She nodded. "thats fine. i think i would like to go but...do i need to bring anything with me? can we stop by the place im staying so i can grab some things?"
