Oblivion- Still a great game, good story if a bit cliche. Loss of some customization options, skills, and weapons(Spears TT). And the game felt a little forced at times, the quest lines were too short, moved too rapidly. Still loved the game anyway.
Skyrim- Looks great, but does not give what I look for in a game as much as the titles before it. While yes, I do consider it greater than Oblivion story and mechanics wise, I do not consider it greater deliverance wise. The perk trees are unbalanced, lacking even in some cases. The skills are far too dumbed down, classes stripped, and letting you change anything but gender race(as if race even matters anymore in Skyrim) and a loss of many of the things that made customization great in the earlier games. The stories were fine, if again a bit short, but I felt as though the game was just lacking in somany ways where if they had left some things in, would have made it so much better.
In short, Fuck your Bosmer, Dunmer, Altmer, Walking cats, Orsimer, Brenton, and Imperial scum. Nord and Argonian, have a nice day.
