I once read an RP on an old, dead forum that lasted for about 4 or 5 years and carried on to another forum for a year or so.
Ex Astris Scientia or Operation Sea Lion.
Pulled into war to serve a vision;
That's supposed to last a thousand years.
Part of a machine;
Unstoppable, as merciless as tidal waves.

No matter where you go
there you are.
A Seperate Society: just your typical slice of life with people who actually understood what it meant. it was funny, tragic, light and heartbreaking, all at the same time.
The best and longest lasting RP I've been in was the first one I made on this site. It thrived for 4 months before we ran out of plot, and was a lot of fun. Sadly, every RP I've GM'd since then seem to have gotten progressively boring and shorter-lived.
On another site however, I'm in an RP that's lasted more than a year.
Legend of Renalta: Reborn.
It's nearly three years old. It's a five act story with deep characters that engage in complex and rich relationships whilst fighting off evil Gods. With the goal of getting rid of them.
Several have died getting there.
There's a few left, some in love, some fighting to restore what was lost, some hoping to redeem themselves from past failures or find their true calling...
I wonder if any of them will make it.
Brovo: The answer here is "Gaiman". Just. Reading that, I feel like I am reading a less coherent, more schizo Gaiman book.

Hah. Fucking knew it. I am good at this. I may not be the most articulate, but damn if I cannot feel the influences.
