A claymore is always a nice sword if you know what you are doing. A katana is always fun to use as well, great for beginners. Not too big on guns though, but you already know that Kizu.

    From wiki regarding the AK5

The Ak 5 or Automatkarbin 5 ("automatic carbine 5", "automatic carbine" being the Swedish term for assault rifle)[1] is the Swedish version of the FN FNC assault rifle with certain modifications, mostly to adapt the weapon to the Swedish climate. The Ak 5 is the service rifle of the Swedish Armed Forces. The Ak 5 replaced the Ak 4 (a licensed-produced version of the Heckler & Koch G3) in Swedish service. Later versions also accept the Colt M203 grenade launcher attachment. The current standard issue version is the Ak 5C.

I served 6 years ago. I don't think the 5C was in use back then.

I had a feeling you'd show up Sasha if a claymore was mentioned But yes, I knew that you're not familiar with guns, but swords are more of your area ^_^

If I were to choose a small pistol I'd go for a pepper box

I own a CZ 858 Tactical-2 sporting rifle (Canadian civilian version of the Czech Vz 58 assault rifle, which is a superior design to the AKM in nearly every way), and I collect knives, including a USMC issue Ka-Bar which I use for camping, a Fairbairn-Sykes commando dagger, a SOG field pup, and some 1970's era German issue knife. I was in the Canadian Forces for a bit (my profile has pictures of it, actually), and I'm proficient in the C7 assault rifle (AR 15 varient that's more reliable than the M-16 and became popular with the British SAS and the standard issue rifle of the Danish armed forces), the C9 LMG (Canadian version of the FN Minime/M249), the C6 GPMG (Canadian version of the FN MAG/M240) and I've had training on M72 disposable rocket launchers, the M 84 Carl Gustav recoiless rifle, and M67 fragmentation grenades.

I will say this: I fucking hate AR-15 platforms. They feel cheap, the furniture is fragile, and it takes days for them to clean properly because of their stupid gas operation that blows the carbon back into the receiver to recycle the bolt assembly. This ends up with a gunked up gas tube you can't access properly to clean and have to wait a few days for it to bleed out to properly clean it. They should have gone with a piston like an AK or HK 416 where it eliminates that problem entirely and makes a much more reliable weapon. I swear to god, the M4 is the modern day Ross Rifle. It's a pile of shit that's long been outclassed by better weapons, like the Steyr AUG, the G36K, the HK416, and AK 74. As for shotguns, the SPAS 12 is only popular because it looks cool. This Italian made combat shotgun has this neat ability to go from pump action to semi auto by flipping a switch, but it's overly complicated and some parts are fragile as hell. There's much better shotguns out there. Other things I own are A Song of Ice and Fire replica weapons like Ice, Robert's warhammer, and the Night's Watch obsidian dagger. I also own a replica of Altair's short blade, a Spanish medieval dagger replica, a SOG tomahawk, a war axe, and about a dozen other knives. My next purchases are likely going to be an SKS, a Remington 870 shotgun, and a Remington 700 bolt action rifle. As well, I've been eyeballing medieval reenactment fighting, so I may eventually get myself some chainmail, a Viking sword, bearded axe, and a spectacle helm and give it a go.
