Jesse was in the commons to do a quest called Grim Tales. He was headed towards the library.

Cristina was in Ravenwood to go get her new spell.

Kayla was in the commons not really doing much of anything yet. She was trying to motivate herself to do some quests.

Jesse made his way into the library and went over to Boris Tallstaff to show him some strange book that was dropped on Unicorn Way by some stranger. He listened to what he had to say and then was told to take it to Headmaster Ambrose. He then walked out the library and went on his way to headmaster's tower, passing Kayla on the way.

Cristina had a quest to defeat some rotting fodders and collect storm madallions over on triton avenue. She pulled out a map, something she could never really understand. She wasn't good at navigating maps. The map seemed to be telling her to go through the shopping district to get to Triton Avenue.
