"Above and Below"
They live Below. They can't stand the sunlight. Their eyes are just too sensitive fot it. So, during the day, they stay Below, in the under ground caverns that they call home. And then, during the night, they go Above. Above is a dangerous place. That is why only the hunters go, while the all the other Undergrounders stay in the caves. They are led by who is thought to be their king, his wife loyally at his side. Every single one of the undergrounders have dark skin and hair, despite their living away from the sun. That is, all exect for one. The king's daughter. She has forever pale skin and golden blonde hair. It is thought that her birth mother, who had died just a year after her own birth, slept with a Other and had her. And because of this, the princess is hated by all her people, including the king himself, who, despite knowing she is not his, claims her as his daughter yet treats her crually. The princess, despite her being mistreated and abused by her own people, has remained kind and curious. But, she is most curious about the Above.

She has always wanted to go to the above, but her father refuses, saying that woman are not allowed to go to the Above. But, after asking for years, his new wife convincing him to let her go, just to get rid of her, knowing no self respecting Undergrounder will marry a 'whore' such as her.

So, she is sent above and the hunters are told to not let her return to the Below.

The Above is in the fresh air, where all the life is. Where the Others live.The others are what humans would call 'Vampires' but there is actually a false in what they say in their stories. The Others do indeed half fangs, and they do indeed drink the blood of their victems. But, not for the same reason humans think they do. The Others only drink the blood of Undergrounders. And for a reason more then just to 'fill their appitites' as humans think.

Others bare no emotions. They are emotionless to anything and everything. But, when they drink the blood and kill Undergrounders, then the Others temporarily, for a few hours, granted emotions. They thrive and feed on these emotions. It is the only thing that makes them truely alive and just just an empty shell roaming the earth.

Once in the Above, the princess runs from everything she once knew. From the enterance to the Enterance from the Below that she never wants and never can return to. And in her haste, she is captured. A net springs on her and she is struck.

And the next morning is when he finds her. An Other. Others, unlike what humans think, live mainly in the sunlight, thus set traps so when they awake in the morning, they can have a meal to feel them with emotions for most of the day. But when he finds her, passed out in his net, he dosn't know what to think. She dosn't have the apperence of a Undergrounder. But she obviously isn't a human either. So, he takes her back to his home and discovers something interesting. When he goes to feel her head for any signs of why she was unconious, and his skin touches hers, he feels all the emotions that he would if he had just drank and killed her.

Wanting to have these never ending emoitons that come from just a touch, he keeps her there, not allowing her to leave, keeping her there with him by force, so he can have his emoitons he needs to write his music.

But one thing neither of them know, is that one of the hunters, sent by her father's wife, is out to kill her, and very deadly.
(basically he is a composer, but needs the emotions he gets from Undergrounders to write his music and keeps her there so he dosn't have to wait hours for his next kill and next rush of emotions)

"The Mist"
Dani was probabily the happiest person in the world when she found out that she had been accepted into the fabulous art school in England. She couldn't believe it. Out of thousands, only five were picked and she was one of them. It was everything she could have ever asked for. She rode all the way there by plane from her home in Colorodo in the US, only to find after the plane landed, that she was the only one of the five teens that had arrived. She is taken to the 'art school' which to her surprise, was an old gothic mansion. That hadn't really thrown her off much though. After all, there were only to be five students, so she shouldn't have expected an actual school. Just a kind of 'home study' set up.

After arriving, she asks over and over again where the others are, but the two servents that work in the mansion just state that they were delayed by the fog, as well as the intructers had. But the confusing thing was, she never say any fog, even as they mentioned it she never did. But still, she shrugged it off. It was late and she jet lagged, so she went striaght to bed. There she had a dream that sh ehad been having for a long time. A dream of a boy, standing in the fog. And when she woke, she found a strange fog in her room. This happened for the next two days, the dream becoming more and more real each night she had it. And on her second day there, someone arrived.

He claimed to be another student. And when the servents saw him, they grew pale in the face, though said nothing. It was strange to her, but she thought maybe they hadn't been expecting him because of the bad fog that had finally showed.

A few more days went by and her dream became mroe and more real, and the servents more anxious. And slowly, she began having more visions, that seem to be connected with the old manison. The question is, how?

(Basically the boy 'art student' is a vampire who once lived in the mansion. The girl is a reincarnaton of his older brother's fiancee. His brother is the boy in the mist that the keeps seeing in her dreams. The back fground is that over 100 years ago, the two brother's lived int eh ansion with their mother, who was dying. In their father's will, it was stated that after their mother dies, the estate would go to the first son married. And the only son engaged at the time of their mothers deathly illness is the eldest son. So, to speed up the arranged marriage, the mother calls for the girl to come live in the mansion. But while in the manion, she ends up falling for the youngest brother, not the brother she is supposed to marry. And when the eldest brother finds out though a letter she wrote to her parents, that she is asking them for her to marry the younger brother instead of him. In a attempt to keep the wedding on so he can stil have the estate, he attempts to seduce her int eh ball room, which, in her make for an escape, a candle falls over, lighting the ballroom on fire. The girl died in the fire and the older brother, who is a vampire just like his brother, leaves her to die, scared he'll tell on what he tried to do. But the younger brother find out and stakes the brother, killing him for letting her die. Then the younger brother leaves. The servents, bound to the house by a curse that keeps them alive until the younger brother dies, waits, hoping for the day when the girl will return to restore the manison(her paintings restore it) and the eldest son so everything can be right again.
