Background- Chronicler is an Aedanar, a family of farmers who lived in Riverwood. They were reliable and always went out of their way to help a traveler who needed assistance. Chronicler's brother, Kvothe, was a mage who was 5 years older than him. Before Kvothe left for the College of Winterhold he taught Chronicler a bit in the arcane arts. Kvothe showed Chronicler how to mend wounds, the basics of Destruction, and gave Chronicler a book, which Kvothe couldn't understand, that taught him how to conjure creatures. In his spare time, Chronicler taught himself how to brew some potions and poisons out of any plants and herbs that he found around the farm. Chronicler's father, Miguel, was a simple man who would never admit it, but was a savant archer that served in the empire before the great war. He met a women named Liara, who was a master Restoration mage, in Daggerfall. They fell in love and got married. Miguel vowed to never kill another man when Kvothe was born. Four years after Kvothe's birth, The Aedanars move to Riverwood where Chronicler was born a year later. As Chronicler got older Miguel decided to teach him how to use a bow and how to fight so he could defend himself if the need ever arised.
