Artemis jumped backwards, swinging the scythe and throwing a couple of lightning bolts at Cam. they were weakened so they wouldn't be lethal, but he would feel them. he landed back on the ground, getting ready to move again. he needed to get distance between them and slow Cam down so he could prepare a stronger attack. that was the major problem with pure magic, it needed to be prepared to do any real damage. suddenly getting an idea, he planted the shaft of the scythe on the ground and swung it in a semicircle, scorching the ground.

Cameron hit the ground, rolling as he landed to avoid the streaks of lightning that passed just over his head. ~He really doesn't want to let this go into a fistfight. He's being incredibly defensive...I guess that's what I should've expected.~ Cameron thought as he quickly got up off the ground and resumed a standing position."You're no fun Artemis..." Cam stated with a pout on his face. He untangled the mess of chains from between his hands and wrapped the majority of it around his torso once more. He took the leftover ends of the chain and wrapped it across his knuckles so that and punch he landed would hurt severely more. A strand of chain hanged loosely between the portion on his chest and the wraps around his hands, as not to restrict his movement or the distance of his punches despite it all being one length of chain. Before proceeding Cameron took the Khopesh he had previously detached and dragged the blade across the palm of his hands, creating a deep gash. He examined it as the wound slowly repaired itself cell by cell leaving a scar across his palm. ~Okay, the healing is relatively quick and should work on any wound he inflicts during the fighting. I can heal burns and probably remove any muscular paralysis I receive from the shocks...He's really gonna drag this one out.~ After examining the healing magic Cameron dissipated the Khopesh once more, he had no need for the blade.
