Mutsu groaned in the rubble and machine parts, slowly leaning up on his forearms in a daze, looking up to see what had caused all the commotion. The snake demon had been flailing about and making a mess of the once rather nice looking arcade, smashing into walls and machines as it went along. That was when Kana had leapt into action, using Bureizu in an all too familiar form, the Four Senses. He recognized the family's special technique instantly, by he also realized the danger Kana was putting herself in in order to use it. She would only use the technique if she felt it was the only way she could win, which meant this snake was nothing to scoff at.*

It took a mere minute to take care of the snake demon, which wasn't all that surprising, but when Kana turned around it was evident that the use of the family's technique had taken a lot out of her. Before she could even fall to the ground and take a little "nap," Sekai had caught her. For the moment, everything appeared to be resolved, however, it was only moments after Kana had gone unconscious that another snake demon arrived, much bigger and much angrier. Before Mutsu could act, another man had appeared, seeming rather ominous. He had taken out the next snake with ease, even though it had taken Kana endangering herself in order to finish the other snake demon, and smaller one, at that. This man was obviously quite strong. Mutsu rose to his feet shakily, trying to manage his goofy smile. "Thanks for the help," he managed with a slight chuckle. It was obvious this man was no here to merely lend a helping hand though. Kana's eyes were slowly starting to open, trying to make out the man that had arrived, but it was difficult for her to even see him.*

The figure turned towards Mutsu, his eyes piercing into the guy's goofy expression. The man grunted, unamused at the goofy looking boy as he turned back towards Sekai, "I see you've made some friends." The man began, "They must be pretty desperate ones to affiliate themselves with the likes of you." Sekai glared at the man, his older brother. "What do you want?" The boy asked coldly. He wasn't in the mood for his older brother's games, especially coming from the man who had willingly stabbed him in the back when they were just children. Sekai looked for a way out of the arcade, but unfortunately the three of them were cornered, there wasn't any room for escape. "Now, now, that's no way to greet the head of your clan." His older brother remarked coyly, "Do you remember what I told you the last time I saw you? It's been a few years." Sekai gently placed Kana down in the corner of the room behind himself as he turned back towards his brother. "I remember." Sekai muttered quietly, "You told me that you'd kill me if we ever met again."

"I'm glad you remember, boy. Now where's your sword? It's time we settle this little sibling quarrel so I can be rid of the likes of you." The man remarked as he unsheathed his sword. Sekai frowned as he nervously shook his head, "I don't have it with me right now." Sekai admitted, he really regretting not bringing his sword as he felt his fingers tentatively curl up into fists. Sekai's brother laughed as he tilted his head, "You really are a pathetic piece of work, you don't even have your sword!" Sekai had enough of his older brother's taunts, the boy charged towards his older brother in a blind rage, he absolutely hated his older brother, the boy that kicked him out and forced to live out on his own. When Sekai was in punching range, the boy threw out the heaviest punch he could muster towards his older brother. Unfortunately, the man was too quick for him, dodging the punch and knocking Sekai across the side of his face with the hilt of his sword. As Sekai reeled backwards in pain, his older brother sliced Sekai at stomach height, Sekai attempted to evade the strike, but the tip of the blade gashed against his chest and sent blood flying in every direction.

Sekai fell to his knees in agony as blood dripped and soaked his nice, white shirt. The boy's eyes watered in pain and Sekai bit his lip in order to prevent himself from crying out in pain. The young exorcist did his best to hide his soft whimpers, and his older brother looked down upon him with an evil grin etched across his face. "Now, before I kill you, I think I'm going to kill your friends first, how does that sound? I think I'll start with the girl." Sekai's eyes widened as his older brother began to walk past him and towards the still unconscious Kana, "Hayato, No!" The boy pleaded at the top of his lungs, bear hugging his older brother's leg as the man tried to walk past him. Hayato turned towards his brother, kicking him off of his leg, "Don't you ever call me by name you disgusting piece of filth!" the man remarked as he slapped Sekai with the back of his hand. Sekai was bleeding everywhere now, but he was determined to protect his newly made friends. "I'm so sorry, please. I beg you, don't hurt them!" Sekai pleaded once more, his eyes tearing up from the mixture of both pain and worry.

    Arch your back now
Maybe you can help me get what I want
Curve your little spine and tell me that you're mine

Bureizu had changed out of his weapon form and changing into his larger fox form, same as the night before. The flames around his paws and on the tip of his tail blazed as he crouched next to Kana, snarling at the mysterious man who claimed to be the Sekai's brother. He didn't like this man already, merely on how he treated his own kin alone, but he wouldn't stand for someone threatening his master. It seemed that Bureizu was also sending off a sort of spiritual pressure, similar to most feral spirits that used it to pray on other spirits and other people at times.*

Kana began to groggily lean up on her elbows, stilling looking quite pale. She tried to play it off as if she were alright, but it was quite clear that she was in pretty bad shape. On top of that, wasn't in any better shape. He stumbled over so that he was on the side of Kana opposite of Bureizu, his fighting gloves on and ready for a fight even though his sight was blurry from hitting his head. Lana groaned, half from feeling like she was about to vomit and half from the fat that everyone was up and ready to fight except her. Even Sekai had attempted attacking the man without a weapon.*

"Lovely..." she groaned, as she attempted to rise to her feet. "Kana-" Bureizu said warily, concerned about whether she should be exerting herself so soon "Shut it, fuzz ball," Kana grumbled as she stood, wobbling from side to side. "Okay, now listen here!" She was so dizzy that when she talked it was almost incoherent, she vaguely reassembled a drunken person. The scene would probably have been more humorous if it hadn't been for the serious situation. She stumbled into Bureizu, using him to hold herself up. "Sweetie," he told her. "I said don't call me that..." "You need to rest." "The hell I do!" she shouted then looking at the man angrily. "He's just- he's just like his name! He's lightning; Strikes suddenly and then gone in a flash, it can't protect. It can only destroy! I don't care what your title stands for, your nothing but a coward and you know it!"

Hayato looked down at his dying younger brother, before kicking him away. Sekai reeled over in pain as his older brother glared towards Kana, "Well, well, well. The little tiger is awake, this should make things just a bit more interesting." The man remarked, raising his sword to his waist, "It's a shame you look a bit knocked out already, I'm hoping you'd be at least a little entertaining." Hayato paid no attention to Kana's little comment about his title, after all, it was only a name. The Prince of Lightning fastened his hands tightly around the handle of his blade, grinning as he pointed it towards Kana, "Sekai will be dead soon, but I'm going to make sure he sees at least one of you die by my hands as well." The Prince grinned, kicking his younger brother on the floor, sending him skidding across the tile surface and into the side of the wall. "Do me a favor, though." Hayato began, looking glaring at Kana coldly, "Try not to die on me too soon, I want to have a little bit of fun today." Hayato spun his sword in his hands before running towards Kana, his blade poised and ready to strike the girl.

Sekai looked up weakly, he wanted to get up and intervene, but the gash across his chest was still bleeding and he didn't have his weapon to fight his older brother. "Kana! Run! Don't try to fight him!" Sekai knew that Kana would be no match for him, especially in her weakened state, Sekai couldn't even stand against Hayato for more than a minute, and that probably meant Kana wouldn't have much of a chance either. Hayato didn't even call his spirit beast out, he ran towards Kana with a graceful confidence. Sekai didn't want any of his new friends to get hurt, but what could he do? The exorcist was absolutely useless. "Brother, stop! Please!" The boy pleaded to no avail. The boy was frightened and feared for his friend's life, but all he could do was watch as Hayato charged across the room.

Kana flinched as a moment as the man kicked Sekai across the floor. She had hated the man enough to begin with, but now he had officially ticked her off. As the man ran toward her, his sword ready to impale her, she pushed her self up from Bureizu as he immediately changed into a blaze, completely surrounding his mistress for a moment.*

    CLANG!

Bureizu had changed back into his previous form, the Four Senses. Kana had made a fist and punched at the man with great force, sending of a gust of wind from the sheer force of the two assaults. She stood firmly, holding the blade of the man's sword in between the spikes of her iron gloves. The color in her skin was steadily returning to her, the effects of the family technique kicking in. She was stronger, faster, and more agile than before due to this technique, but could she finish before the five minutes were up?

Kana looked the man angrily in the eyes, more confident now that Bureizu was giving it all he had as well. This man was strong, there was no doubt, but hopefully this would be enough to at least hold the man back if not intimidate him. The tips of her spikes began to glow orange, becoming hotter and hotter. "Like hell I'll run!" she shouted, throwing aside the fact that every second she wasted put her body in more and more risk. "I'm gonna show you that I'm a lot more than 'entertainment.' I'm Kanahana Umikaze, but more importantly-" Kana pushed the blade and guided it away as best she could, moving quickly toward the man and her fist rocketing toward his face. "- I'm one crazy b*tch!"

Mutsu had rushed over to Sekai's aid in all of the havoc, feeling rather useless as the heads of two important and influential exorcist families went head to head with one another. He had felt rather trumped by the two, but he figured he had to do something to make himself useful. "Don't move," he told Sekai as he kneeled down next to him, searching for his phone in his pants.*

Hayato's eyes widened as the blade of his sword found itself embedded in between the iron spokes of Kana's gauntlets. "Im-Impossible." The exorcist muttered under his own breath, doing his best to keep a calm look on his face. Just a few moments prior the girl looked like she could barely stand, and now the girl had blocked the Prince of Lightning's attack like it was nothing? Hayato watched as Kana's gloves turned a bright orange, and he could begin to feel the heat emanating off of the iron spikes of her gauntlets and onto Hayato's sword. Hayato watched in shock as the girl threw his blade to the side, redirecting the momentum of his strike off ward and away from her. The man tried to guide the blade backwards, but he saw in the corner of his eye a fist coming straight for his face. Immediately, Hayato retreated to the side, side-stepping under and around the swing to evade the blow poised for his face. "Umikaze, huh? That definitely explains something," The boy remarked coyly. Hayato had heard about the strength of the Umikaze family, and had actually sparred with some of their members in combat, though he never remembered them to be as much of a threat as Kanahana posed.

Hayato raised his blade perpendicular to Kanahana's neck, he knew that after the strike Kana had just delivered there would be no way for her to evade or parry his next blow, leveling his sword to Kana's neck, the Prince of Lightning swung his blade thinking that he would end her life in one blow. It looked close, but right before the blade was able to lop off Kana's head, Bureizu stuck out and attacked Hayato, clawing his arm and forcing Hayato to retreat backwards in pain. "Goddamnit!" Hayato shouted as he gripped his arm in pain, slight drops of blood falling onto the ground. Hayato cursed himself for his tunnel vision, not realizing that Bureizu, Kana's spirit beast had been flanking him. Hayato attempted to kill the Spirit Beast, but before he could get close enough, Bureizu retreated backwards to his owner, disappearing back into her weapon in a heartbeat. "This is going to be a little more annoying than I thought," Hayato remarked, "Raiden! Come forth!"

Sekai watched as Mutsu kneeled down next to him. "I'm. I'm sorry, Mutsu," Sekai apologized, he felt guilty that he didn't bring his weapon in order to help Kana, instead, Kana was fighting to protect them all once again. "I... I need to stop them," The boy remarked weakly as he tried to stand up, only to fall back down in pain. There was a lot of blood everywhere, and Sekai's vision blurred as he fell back to the ground. "I'm going to die, aren't I, Mutsu?" The boy asked as he felt his body go numb from the pain. Sekai fought his best to stay conscious, for he feared that if he fell asleep now, he would never wake up again. Sekai grabbed Mutsu by the edge of his shirt to get his attention for a moment, "Hey Mutsu, If I die, tell Kanahana..." The boy was unable to finish his sentence as he blacked out, his body drooping back onto the floor.

Kana leapt back with a smirk as Bureizu retreated back into the weapon obediently. She was glad that she had proven she is much more than some frail little girl, and she was ready to show him even more. "Annoying?" she scoffed, gritting her teeth a little in annoyance of her own. She the hit the spikes of her gauntlets together, creating multiple sparks before the gauntlets and iron boots burst into flames. "Well you'd better sit back and relax, 'cause the show's only just started!"

    "Enough!"

Kana was about to burst forward before a loud female voice boomed over them, demanding authority. Lana looked to the entrance to see two all two familiar woman instead don't before them. Takeshita was standing with her arms folded across her chest, wearing her usual pat suite and he hair done up in a bun. Behind her stood the timid Himeji, looking at the scene and appearing as if she were about to cry. "Takeshita?" Kana asked aloud quizzically. Takeshita began standing strutting forward as an ambulance appeared on the seen, the nurses and doctors bursting in and rushing to Sekai's aid. Takeshita stopped walking once she was standing in between Hayato and Kana. "Stand down, Umikaze," Takeshita commanded sternly. "But you don't-" "I told you to stand down, Kanahana!" Kana scowled as she looked away angrily, shifting from her offensive stance to fold her arms across her chest angrily. Takeshita then looked to Hayato, her expression still stern. "I suggest you leave," she suggested to him, although it also had a hint of a threat to it. "An attack on a fellow exorcist can be interpreted as a sign of rebellion or war on this district as well as the rest of Japan, though I'm sure you already know that."

((Going to do a bit of a time skip, if you don't mind.))

Hayato had called for his spirit beast, preparing to retaliate with full force when all of the sudden, Takeshita beckoned for the two of them to stop. "Tch." Sekai's older brother clenched his teeth together, turning away from Kanahana and towards the person he had never seen before. The boy bit his lip, what he said was true, with a frown of disappointment Hayato sheathed his sword across his waist, "You're lucky she showed up, I would have killed you in seconds." The man remarked arrogantly as he turned away from the girl. On his way out, he noticed a group of paramedics treating Sekai's wounds and loading him onto a stretcher. As he passed by the two paramedics, the man placed his foot on one of the paramedics that was huddled next to his younger brother, kicking the man to the ground. "Just give it up and let the kid rot, you're wasting your time with him," He exclaimed with a snicker as he continued walking down the destroyed arcade. As he passed by Takeshita, the man bent over whispering into her ear, "Don't worry, I'll be back, and the next time, I'll murder every single one of you." Hayato whispered with a grin.

Sekai lay across the ground of the arcade unconscious and dying, he wondered in his mind if he would ever wake up again. Though he was asleep, he could still feel the pain of his wounds envelop him in his own sleep. In his sleep, he had horrific visions of his brother, and the abuse that his family put him through. These nightmares were nothing new to Sekai, but these ones were different. Normally his nightmares would include terrible things happening to himself, but this time Kana and Mutsu were in his dreams, and the idea of them being hurt because of his weakness haunted him too. After what seemed like a century of nightmares, the boy finally woke up, springing upwards in a panic. Looking around, it looked like he was in a hospital, attached to what seemed like life support devices. Suddenly, he remembered everything that happened at the arcade, and he felt tears swell up in his eyes. Sekai was about to cry when he heard a voice behind him.

"Hey, you're finally awake!" A voice to his side beckoned. Startled, Sekai turned around, only to see Mutsu's big, goofy smile etched across his face. Relieved and surprised at the same time, the boy frowned, "H-Hi, Mutsu." The boy muttered quietly. Although Sekai was glad that someone he cared about was actually at his side when he woke up, half of himself wished that Mutsu wouldn't be there so he could cry his eyes out in peace. "You've been asleep for awhile," Mutsu remarked, "About three months," Mutsu grinned. "Thr.. Three months?!?!" Sekai shouted, nearly to the top of his lungs, he felt like he was going to have a heart attack. "I'm joking! You've only been out for about twenty-four hours, relax." Sekai breathed a sigh of relief, placing his hand over his chest before turning back towards Mutsu, "Is Ka-" "Kana's fine." Mutsu interrupted, knowing exactly what Sekai was about to ask. "She's actually in the room next door, her wounds weren't as serious as yours, but they wanted to keep her here for the night just to make sure you would both be okay."

Sekai breathed another sigh of relief, "I'm glad she's okay," The boy remarked. Before he could say anything else, however, Mutsu shot him a look, "By the way, before you went out yesterday, you were going to tell me something." Mutsu remarked as he brushed his hair backwards with his hand. Sekai shot Mutsu a puzzled look, he obviously forgot what he was talking about. "If I die, tell Kana..." Mutsu reminded Sekai. Sekai, remembering what he was about to say, his face turned a bright, rosy red, "N-Nothing! Forget it! I wasn't going to say anything!" Sekai replied, he felt his heart beat really quickly and wanted to pretend like he didn't hear anything. Mutsu, being smarter than he looked, got the hint, "Haha, alright. I'll forget about it then." Mutsu figured that it wasn't worth pushing Sekai's buttons, but then he remembered the little embarrassment from that air hockey game, "I don't know if Kana will be so forgetful, though." Sekai felt his heart lodge up in his throat, "W-What did you tell her?! MUTSU??" Sekai shouted in embarrassment. "I haven't told her anything, yet." Mutsu remarked coyly. "Good, please don't tell her I said anything." Sekai pleaded.

"So what is it you don't want me to tell her? Don't tell me you actually like Kana?"

    "...MUTSU!"

    "I told you, I'm fine!"

Kana was sitting in a medical bed, sitting up with her back against the head board and her arms folded across her chest. Himeji was sitting in a chair at the bedside, sighing over Kana's stubbornness. Looking at her more closely, she noticed two gray hairs that hadn't been there before, a side affect no doubt. "The doctors said you just have to stay one more night," she reassured her, though she doubted that would calm her down any. "They said your body could still be in a critical condition." "Hmph!" Kana huffed, pouting slightly. "It's not that big a deal, it's not like I jumped off a cli-" "You used Tsu no Kankaku," Himeji interrupted. "You know how dangerous that is."

Kana looked away defiantly, not wanting to admit that everything that Himeji had said was true. Tsu no Kankaku was a dangerous technique, but it was also the strongest weapon that Bureizu could change into. Due to its properties, it not only amplified her speed and strength, it also allowed her mind to work more efficiently as well. This is what made the technique so deadly, though the technique did come with some rather big flaws. For one thing, Tsu no Kankaku could only be held for five minutes, and even without breaking the time limit, the technique left great amounts of strain on the user both physically and even spiritually.*

    ---

Takeshita sat in her office, overlooking the city from her grande window. It was getting dark now, and she was pretty sure there would be trouble tonight. What was happening to this city, spirit danger levels have risen in the past two years, and now there were issues forming within their very own unit. How were they to face the tempest that was slowly creeping up on them?
